I dont' have pics, but think the glass would look wonderful with your SS. That is some of the prettiest soapstone I've seen. Are you planning on glass subway... maybe 3x6 or 2x4? I think it might look great with a glass that has a frosted/sandblasted finish... if you know what I mean.

I was thinking glass subways too, which would be a fabulous contrast with soapstone. Just my opinion, but smaller tiles like mosaic might look too busy and compete with all the veining in your soapstone.

thanks - I just added 2 pics with the turquoise veins - I was thinking subway, definitely frosted. Maybe even white frosted? Or green, if I can get the right green. I was going to change my mind and put white ceramic subway tile, which I think would look nice too, especially with my white sink - but I really want glass and I've learned not to compromise. I'm always sorry afterwards.

Here's one resource... Interstyle Ceramic and Glass. I can't imbed pics from their site but I like the spring green color. The sagebrush would work if you wanted to go a little more turquoise. They come in every size imaginable. Just click on the sizes tab. Let us know what you like/dislike about them and that'll help drive other suggestions.

- I like the sky, wave, and seashell. The Nantucket blend also looks nice, but might be too busy. Prill

Prill, that is some gorgeous soapstone! Wow. I love the veining and the unusual colours. I think you want to keep the bs subtle so that it complements but doesn't steal thunder from your stone. In that regard, something like Nantucket would compete. And I agree with Zeebee on the smaller mosaics.

I've always loved Anita's ming marble; it's really interesting. Could be a great match for your ss. Are there other elements (besides your white sink) about your kitchen that are of note?
