SW Dover White-Anybody?

Totally a different idea than my "aubergine" idea for my bedroom. Since the "aubergine" plan, I had come up with another idea, I loved it, it looked great on the BM Color Preview tool. Thought that since my dh just about died when I told him my latest plan of a dark ceiling (cathedral ceiling), and wasabi walls and weimeramer walls I thought I would go back to square one. Below is a bedroom photo from Houzz that has creams & whites. Looks soothing. Not sterile. The author of the Ideabook "guessed" that this was SW Dover White. I was thinking of pairing it with white, and cream accessories, maybe a Wasabi colored pillow or two just to bring that color upstairs.

Anybody have this SW Dover White on any walls? How does it look? Here is the inspiration photo. (I think I even found the bedding at BB&B).

For years, I had SW dover white on the walls in my entry way and hallway, with white trim. It was fine. There was enough contrast between the white and dover to see they were different colors--but not very much contrast.

The color in the pic posted above looks a bit creamier on my monitor than the dover looked in my house.

I do like the dover white for trim and have it on most of the trim in my house. However, in my kitchen I have dover white cabinets with plain white trim.

I thought the dover white in my entry and hall was a bit boring, but it was okay as the rest of my house had a lot of color. I picked it because I didn't like the color that we had originally picked, and the painters were on a tight schedule, so I told them to just paint it off white--they picked the dover white.

Anyway, I now have a very light tan on the walls, with the dover on the trim and I like it much better.

For me personally, the houzz pic is too blah--and I would worry about some of the whites looking dinghy. But, you have lots of color elsewhere, so it may be a nice break.

However, I find when I try to do something different, just to be different--I am not happy--unless its in a guest room or bath where I don't spend lots of time.
