There are CFL, LED, incandescent and halogen lights for both recessed and sconces. Then there are dimmable CFLs, LEDs. Depending on the bathroom size, CFL wall sconces may suffice. Local laws may dictate the use of CFL or LED over incandescent and halogen. For example Title 24 requires that at least 1/2 the wattage is used for approved energy efficient lighting. The main thing is to figure out the aesthetics and then how to achieve compliance with local code requirements while accomplishing the desired look.

One important thing I left off, are there any options like the CR4 that come with a satin or brushed nickel trim, or am additional trim kit that can be used?

The problem with all of this lighting is that each one is more than likely different color rendering from each other. If you could post a photo of everything, that would really help. Well with 6 inch cans, you can dim them down, and keep them at a certain level. The 4 inch cans don't give out as good of a beam spread and there are not a lot of good choices for 4 inch LED cans other than the Cree lr-4 and a few other brands, but their pretty pricey. If you think 6 inch cans are too big and unattractive, you have ruled out the best lighting choice for your kitchen. Don't do a recessed light above the sink, you will get shadows. Don't do ONLY a recessed light above the sink. I also used pretty glass tile in the showers and it looks really nice when illuminated with 2 lights and dimmed just a bit. Ambiance lighting for when guests use the full bath downstairs! That sounds so nice! Two additional thoughts, not related to the above note: As you plan your lighting, consider your color scheme. If you're going with today's trendy lots-of-white, maybe-some-gray color scheme, light's going to bounce off those stark whites and could feel harsh. On the other hand, if you're using a softer, darker color scheme, those darker colors will "absorb" some of the light; so you'd need to ask whether you'd need more light fixtures. I like to read in the tub, so I definitely plan to have a light of some sort "behind me" for that purpose.
