I think a white sink will look fine. As for the look, I don't think it would be any worse than any other shiny granite, although of course with any of those granites with sparkly inclusions there's always the risk of getting distracted from what you're cooking by discovering something you never noticed before in the countertop.:)

It is a small U kitchen, about 9.6 x 12 ft, no island. I thought I will put wood on the two windowsills for warmth...
And have very colorful curtains...

My daughter's kitchen is a sea of Blue Pearl- counters and a very large island. She has white cabinets and a white base to the island. The combination is great. Only difference - she has stainless appliances and a stainless sink which does go well with the gray highlights in the stone. On the other hand, I think your white sink will compliment the granite. Blue Pearl granite reminds me of the inside of an oyster shell with irridescent sparkles that catch your eye from each direction you look. Have fun with it!

I can't wait to see your kitchen!! We chose Blue Pearl for our island, and are using Bianco Romano for the perimeter. I would have loved to use Blue Pearl for the entire kitchen, but used the Bianco Romano to stay within budget.

I have Blue Pearl, and I think it is beautiful. Here it is right after install--with a big ole white sink.

And here is a more recent photo of our "coffee/micro station", so you can see the contrast of our creamy white cabinets with the stone. At night the blue sparkles and is just amazing! I love it!

I think a white sink will look nice with your white appliances and blue granite...

I do think with a lot of sun you may have "moments" in the day where the sun will reflect off the granite...at least thats what happens in my sunny kitchen...always around the same time (as the sun is setting) and always in the same spot...but it doesn't last to long and I just move over a little if it's bothering my eyes.

LOL, ghostlyvision, you are not the first person to see a smiley face there. Trust me, that was not intentional. Certain camera angles really give that "happy" look! Oh well, better than grumpy cabinets I guess! :^D

Here's another blue pearl with white in a kitchen that gets a lot of natural light. Here's another smiley face,too. It was DH's cookie jar from when he was little. We keep the Splenda in there.

I have had Blue Pearl granite in my kitchen for about 5 years and I absolutely love it. My kitchen is sunny, and the ever-changing features of this granite continually amaze me at different times of day and in various weather conditions. It looks different on cloudy days than it does when the sun is bright. Sometimes there are little fiery copper-ish specks in it that you normally don't see. On some days the blue leaps out at you while on other days it looks more gray-ish. It's beautiful, and I love it even more today than I did when I first got it. We have a stainless steel sink, which looks good with it, btw. I have a set of blue Le Crueset cookware, with matching blue utensil crocks, sugar bowl, tea kettle, spoon rest, etc, that look really striking with the Blue Pearl granite.

One other great thing about this granite is that it doesn't show waterspots or spills. I have to remind myself to wipe the counters, because the busy-ness of the flecks kinda camouflages crumbs and little food spills that occur while cooking.

I'm not sure I'd want Blue Pearl in a kitchen that DIDN'T get a lot of light, because you'd miss a lot of the beauty that comes out in it as sunlight plays across the surface. I do a lot of cooking, and I have yet to become so mesmerized by the granite that I've burned the soup, so I say "Go for it!"

BlueMoon, that is so true about how you have to remind yourself to wipe the counters. I just cannot see crumbs and spills unless I back away from the counters, turn my head sideways in a certain light. Then I can see the spots and such. There have been many times where I will run my hand across the granite, and yeeeech, I will come across a big splotch of jelly, syrup, ketchup--what have you that could not be seen.

GSciencechick, I just love your kitchen. It is so happy and inviting--and of course the Blue Pearl is so lovely! When you post the full view with your Big Chill, I always *sigh*. Love it!

I echo the ease of cleaning. Is it coffee creamer or a fleck, LOL.

Blue pearl is also one of the hardest, least porous granites, too.
