Mercedes, thanks for the tip. My THD doesn't have it. They sell a similar pink, but the flower is a little lighter pink and it has a very dark pink eye. The Lipstick is the same pink from center (eye) to tips of petals. I sent an email to Charlie at Hidden Valley Hibiscus to see if they carried it but I never received a reply. I'm sure I will find it eventually. Growers of all kinds of plants follow these forums and watch for hot plants and what folks want. That's how adeniums, brugs, aroids and plumeria found there way into so many of the big box stores. Thanks again for the help - maybe my THD (did you know it is "The Home Depot"? Haven't seen much of you lately Joyful. Good to see you around. Yes, the pages get used far faster on KT, but then again a good part of that is people here use the same thread where KT and some others just start a new thread to answer someone in another thread! BTW, I'm glad you're salvaging some of these old threads. They do have value. Thanks for your efforts. The best things in life aren't things... what a great quote! And what a valuable piece of advice! I used to, and well, still to this day in a lot of ways, cringe at the thought of relying on someone else, borrow things, etc. So I'd buy all my own tools, etc that I needed, even if it was a rarely used item. Then I'd wind up loaning them, losing them occasionally, get them back damaged or whatever. The other day I was at my cousin's and talking about how I was trimming my trees. At the back of my lot is a Chinese Elm I want to take down but it's kind of big. Maybe I was hinting for some help... IDK, but anyway he asked if I needed a good hand saw to work on it. Well he got it and I forgot what a good saw they are. We always called them a "Swede" saw, but I've heard bow saw, back saw (perhaps used on "back" bacon??) but a saw by any other name still cuts as sweet. I was able to get down most of it, then drag it out front and there I used the electric one to cut up a little more. I was in a hurry to get this done since the power company trimmed my trees and had a pile they would pick up so I wanted to contribute to it while I could. I was thinking I should get one of these saws..." and after reading this thread I go, Why? Why should I feel bad about borrowing items occaionally when I pay back the favor? That's pooling resources and good for us all. Makes a lot more sense. And I suppose a saw would be $20 or more? For something I might use every 3-5 years at best? Sometimes it's hard to break a habit. Oh, the brush was cleaned up yesterday so I was able to mow the leaves and it's breezy here today so I imagine some have blown back in but hopefully they'll blow through. I got a lot accomplished in the past few days. Took out most of the bushes out front so I'll have better sun exposure for this winter and they'll grow back up next year to block for the summer heat. Not too bad for a fat old crippled up cynic! I really needed to trim one tree that was rubbing on my brand new and expensive roof. The squirrels are unhappy with me though. It was an easy way onto the roof for them. Not so easy anymore. But they had cleaned the walnuts off from it so I think it's fair! I noticed my dwarf crab (is that politically incorrect? Should it be little unhappy?) tree was full of tiny (1/2" diameter) crab apples. Thought the birds would want them but maybe not. Way more than anyone cared to know, eh?

This is such a sweet story. I wonder if there was something in the air this weekend? I also had a great day on Sat., starting with a 4+ mile hike up a mountain with DH, ending with dinner (and dancing!, which was a totally spontaneous decision as we came across a place that plays 80s music every Sat. night) with two other couples that are great, fun friends. Of course, I could barely walk on Sun., but it was worth it!

I have to keep your Kitchen Tree idea in mind for next year. My family will enjoy it. I am glad you had a wonderful Christmas and you were able to put your mind at ease about your friend. I enjoyed Christmas too with my kids and grandkids. It was a very busy two days with them. I treated myself to a jacuzzi tonight. Tomorrow looking forward to cleaning up and putting the house back together along with some relaxation time with DH. Then heading south this weekend to have Christmas repeat and New Years Eve with daughter and her family who live out of state. Also looking froward to watching my 6 year grandson sing and play the ukulele in the town's First Night. so right, Brushworks

That's a fantastic campaign!! I think a lot of people have trouble relating to tiles, so putting it in the context of fashion makes so much sense! As in, "Oh! It's blue jeans!"

The cougar in me wants to post this question related a bit to the tile's ad campagin - You know, there have been a few times on this forum when people post pics of their kitchens in progress, and often the workmen are in the pics. Here's one of the mysteries of the universe, at least for me: the workmen are always so cute in other people's pics. Why then do I only get the pot-bellied bald ones with plumber's crack, and chomping a chewed-up cigar? Why? Why?

I was all set and ready to check it out and see if they had any tiles for "the REST" of us, and then I saw who the company is. I wouldn't put another dime in their pocket on a bet.

Oh Bill, what's wrong? Did you try to order those pants or that shirt without luck?

I saw the ad in Veranda today and I told my dh I just had to find the electronic version because I thought it was quite clever.

BKW-- I had a problem with someone in the bathrooms forum where I did a shower for them and we had some problems. Their so called "expert" told her that I, along with the industry experts at JB's forum had no idea what we were talking about, and that the problem was this and that. Even after I proved to them they were wrong, they still insisted that they were right, and to anyone with any kind of working brain, to see the pics I showed them, you wouldn't even need to know anything about tile to know they were wrong. Even now they refuse to back off their "diagnosis".
