Comments (7)DavidR, I thought it might be too fussy, too, esp from the photo. That would not fit the rest of our decor. We put in the Camilla this week and it looks stunning. I'm surprised how much I like it. There is a high window over the doorway that you can see when you are walking up to the front door and it's framed in that window. We live fairly north too, Flower, and we have mostly greenspace around us. It goes with our natural surroundings without being too woodsy. GMA, how do you clean yours? We wiped down every crystal with optical cloth before it was lifted in place. We have a two story entrance so I sure won't be doing that very often. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement....See MorePottery Barn Chandelier
Comments (14)I had the same thing happen with a light from PB Kids for my Boys' rooms. I knew what I wanted, but waited to order it, and when I went to order it it was no longer on their website. I had the name & item # and called PB asking about it etc. They told me it was listed as discontinued, and that there was no way of getting it, and since it was discontinued they would not carry it in the future. Well, lo and behold a few weeks later, it reappeared on their site available for ordering. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll bring it back. I suppose letting them know there is still interest in the item might help the chances of them carrying it again?? Good luck!...See MoreEdison Chandelier Pottery Barn
Comments (9)I searched and searched today to figure out how to place the lights. DH drew a map that sort of makes sense, but we haven't tried it out yet. We're waiting to hear from our painter to see if he's done with the ceiling before we start. I'd hate to ask someone to paint around that fixture. I think it is fun too. When we first looked at this condo, the first thing I said was "that chandelier is the first thing to go...". It took two years for something to speak to me. The only other thing I had really liked was completely different, a willow branch chandelier made by Amish people. It was expensive and I didn't think it had enough light. I'll let you know how we make out. It is our weekend house, so I'm not sure when we'll get back up here to do it. Beth...See MoreCamilla chandelier by Pottery Barn
Comments (20)carol_jk, Thanks for the link to the crystal cleaner. I know you say you've never used it but do you know anything else about it? I can't find it on any review forums. I need to know if there is ammonia in it that would harm brass. The website you linked to says "safe!" but does not say if they mean safe for metal or just the glass. I have a relative with a filthy, greasy, dusty, real crystal and brass, chandy, and he just won't take the time to dismantle it and clean it. It is in the DR but just a few feet from the stove hence the 'greasy' plus he chain smokes at the DR table since the 'puter is on it and right under the chandy. I had thought of just spraying the whole thing with cleaner and a towel under it to catch drips but worry I will ruin the finish. I dread going over there to clean again but his daughter won't do it....See MoreUser
