Thanks, oldhousegal, that's the kind of feedback I was looking for. I'm okay with the roll top edge sitting on the deck. I wasn't looking to undermount the tub. Like that look but not for this type of tub. I thought about doing a pedestal tub. Saw a lot of these on the dream home tour in August and on the remodeled home tour in March. But I'd only have about 16" between tub and wall at each end, which seems a bit snug for getting around it to clean the floor. Plus the tub is between us and an operable window so I think I'd rather have a bit of tub deck to make that maneuver a bit easier. Plus pedestal tubs tend to cost more. But it's something to think about. I emailed our contractor to ask him about it. We'll see what he says. Sure wish I could find photos of a deck-mounted claw foot tub. I've done searches but all it turns up is information or images of tub faucets mounted on the deck of a claw foot tub. Not the same thing.

I plan on getting that exact tub. I just did a search to see how other people felt about theirs and here was your post! I fell in love with it when I laid in it at the showroom. I had a 66" area on the paper plans for a tub. I want a 66" tub. (A 60" tub is just too small to be useable for me and we're going through a lot of this addition/remodel just to have a separate, nice tub the master.) I told my GC the tub I wanted, and he said it HAD to have a tub deck around it. You need someplace to put the faucet and whatever other structural issues. (And remember, since it is a two-person tub, you can't put the faucet centered at the short end.) The minimum for a tub deck is 3" on each side. Therefore, because I now really love this tub, we are going to bump out the addition another 6" so I can get a 3" deck on each side. I can't wait for my new tub!!

I have one (nickel, cross taps), but am actually planning on returning it because I thought it was just too huge. (Installed a replacement but haven't gotten around to it yet.) That massive spout just gave me the fantods. But I like things in restrained proportions, so, there you are. It's a beautiful, unfussy faucet that would work well in a wide range of styles of kitchen. I watched for a long time to see if anyone reported a pattern of problems with Kohler or the Parq, and didn't find any. So I'd see if you can see it in person, or order it and check it out. At worst, you can return it. Good luck!

crl, for how you plan to use the sink with two faucets, I would not get the stages because of the integrated drainboard--i.e., someone on the drainboard end of the sink turning a faucet on full blast and making a splashy mess of things. Instead, I would get a large single bowl sink like this 48" whopper: "BIG Sink" Or this smaller one that has an integrated ledge that allows you to use Stages like accessories: "36 Single" Note-- Top mount sinks can generally be undermounted if that is a concern....although, in your space constricted situation, you may decide to use a laminate counter top because solid surface usually demand more dead space in front of the sink. And, since no one else has weighed in on the Weymouth...I think it looks too fussy, esp. in pairs...too "Look at ME". And a lot more trouble to keep wiped down. I realize that you're shooting for a vintage feel...but, IMO, the Weymouth kinda shouts faux vintage in a not very good way. But, keep in mind that this is just the impression of someone who has hard water and yields more to contemporary and/or utilitarian faucet design.
