Casey, yep, I too notice citrus leaves are fragrant, especially after you hose them. I really notice this scent w/lemon. One time I sowed citrus from store-bought seeds..the tree grew fairly quick considering..Those leaves were super fragrant. If you rubbed a leaf w/finger and thumb, you could detect a hint of lemon. After finding out it would take 7-14 yrs before fruit or flowers, I gave the plant to a friend who had a lot more patience than I..LOL. This was Pre-computer days and the only citrus I could buy locaally were Calamondins. Casey, the Orthos and other plant books detail fairly adaquate information. I wouldn't say it'd be a great book for professional growers, but it's got more than basic data. I normally buy new books, but when I saw the used books on Ebay and Amazon, I couldn't pass them up. Some ppl buy books, decided they're not interested then want to rid them. I keep my books for reference. I wish I could help w/that brown spot, but I really don't know what it is. Sorry..Maybe someone else can ID it. How many leaves have these spots? I'd remove them from tree. What type of orchid did you buy? Wow, that's along wait..lol..I don't have the patience either..especially w/orchids. I only have a few orcids like Phals, dens, dancing lady, ludisa Jewel Orchid, vannilas bean, (don't know if that's an orchid or not) and one hanging type that bloom several times throughout the yr. I think that's it for orchids. The Phal flowers seem to last forever. Toni

Owbist...do you also think maybe the reason there aren't so many questions any more is that people are getting more computer savvy (sort of hard to put into words). But..I, as a senior citizen, had a LOT of questions when I got into the world of computers..as time has gone on, I've learned a lot (mostly from reading at this site) and don't have nearly as many questions as I used to have. I still come here from time to time with a question, but not nearly as often as I used to. Others of my generation are about the same as me or never got into learning about computers at all. My children didn't grow up with computers but they had the first video game things that came out and they are computer literate. "Their" children have been using computers since they were in kindergarten. I was just mulling this over...does this make sense to why maybe there aren't so many questions...along with the fact that computers are getting more dependable? I've had a lot of panic times with my computer and this site has been like an old friend. My kids and grandkids don't panic like I did (and still do at times) Snidely...I understand what you have said, but I still might buy from my local repair shop. They will answer any question I might have via e-mail and give me a discount for having purchased my computer from them...and I they are also my internet provider. I bought one of those cables and never even used it. Forgot about it actually! Since I use USB drives for incremental backups so I just use that to transfer most things. Often you can save the profile folder and transfer on most decent browsers. But there's easier ways for some. For Opera, get OperaFly. Easy way to back up your settings and convert another computer. For Firefox, Mozbackup does a similar job. FEBE was OK but doesn't work with the current version when I last checked. With both of the above, save the backups and you're backed up in case of loss. For Chrome, there's no built-in backup system or a program or extension of which I'm aware, but there's a couple other options: 1) There is a sync option in Chrome. Click on the wrench and select options, then click on personal stuff, then Click SYNC and log into your account. Install Chrome on another computer, but don't customize anything. Click on the wrench again, then options, then personal stuff, then sync.. Sign in and immediately all of your settings, your bookmarks, your extensions and everything else will be available on the new computer. 2) You will have to save Chrome's user Data folder.If you have Windows XP, you can do that this way: A) First, install Chrome on your new computer. Make no modifications to it at this point. Also make sure you have the same version of the browser so it's best to update the browser on the old machine if necessary before making changes. But it's a good idea to back up the old one first... just in case, then upgrade, then transfer. B) On your old computer, go to Start/Run type C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome (replace USERNAME with your user name) and click OK C) The folder which opens has two folders in it: Application and "User Data". Copy the folder "User Data" to your new computer, on the same place in your new computer. Overwrite any files if asked. Make sure that Chrome is closed while you do that. D) After that, when you open Chrome on your new computer it should have all settings from the old one. One caution, It might not save passwords or browsing history, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Oh, and when you do a transfer on Opera or Firefox as well as Chrome, make sure they're the same version to avoid problems.

With a reboot, change of port and the like that suggests it's the mouse itself. If it's a wireless mouse, it might need new batteries. My experience with wireless ones is that batteries need to be fresh and they don't last long anyway so be sure you get new, fresh batteries - don't try pulling them from the remote control or a clock on the wall... I don't like wireless ones for these reasons. It's a good idea to have an extra mouse anyway. And I'd suggest trying a different mouse. You shouldn't have to install new software with a current operating system unless you're using some special features. It will automatically detect and set it up for you. The other thing that has not been mentioned is whether she's scanned for malware lately. This is one classic symptom of a malware issue but this symptom can be caused by a variety of issues.
