Decking around my pool is a disaster, HELP

Ok first I would like to say that this train wreck was not my fault but the previous owners.

Here's the deal, there is old crappy cracked decking around our pool that we want to fix. In addition to that the previous owners decided to expand one section of the area.... here's the bad part. They did it themselves and did NOT do a good job. It's not smooth at all it's totally got divits and stuff. It looks like it started to dry too fast on them and they didn't have the right tools to smooth and level. It is for the most part level but god it looks horrible.

Soooo we did a temporary fix and covered it for the summer so we didn't have to look at it but now I'm at the point where I'd love to resurface the whole area so it's smooth clear and of course all the same color.

I need someone to tell me this can be done without ripping the crappy area up. I don't have a ton of money and I've been researching trying to find something other than more concrete that would fill in the holes and divits and smooth out the surface. Does this exist?

Please help!! tell me I can fix this!!

You can have a company put an epoxy coat on it. This is what we did with our front yard concrete. We used a company called Steve O'Brien Coatings. They may be not be in your area but the link will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. It was inexpensive and nothing had to be torn up. You can choose from endless colors, patterns, textures, etc. We did a flagstone pattern.

Hey snookums. That link is pretty cool. I am going to call them to see if they are in the Houston,Texas area. If so I want to do my driveway. That's if my HOA lets me do something of this nature.
I would think this would be the perfect thing to fix the deck on finnaspool.

Throughout the backyard, I have several citrus trees, rosemary, and lavender in the open. I've hidden strawberries and tomatoes in the back where they can't be seen easily, as well as beans and edamame. (The beans were in too much shade- not very good last year.) My 3 year old got excited and planted some pumpkins last year in the same big bed behind the pool- I was cutting that stupid vine back almost every day as it spilled into the pool! Needless to say, no pumpkins this year ;) This summer, my garden helpers are a 4 year old, a 16 month old, and a growing belly- I'm due w/ #3 in mid-September. I don't know how adventurous my gardening will be- if it can't survive on it's own, it's going to be out of luck- the ultimate in organic gardening, I guess...

Some names that came out of the top of my head and assuming the plants will have plenty of moisture: canna, musa (banana), some type og hibiscus, hostas, ferns, purple loosestrife, variegated Oenanthe, mirabilis (four o'clock), creeping jenny (Lysimachia), ginger and papyrus. Omar

The contractor for our pool refinish also would have done the concrete decking if we had chosen to replace ours. They gave us a quote for replacing the decking. Their website says they do built in bbq's, fire features and hardscaping. It looks like they will do pretty much any concrete or stone work that is wanted. I don't know whether they would do a pool fence and that might depend on the type of fencing. Since code around here requires that pools be fenced, I would expect that they at least would be able to refer you to fence contractors that they have worked with.
