Oh wow! I just love that! Are you going to use 30's repros in it too, such as the sashing and borders? I remember my mother having a mixer that looked like that and there was a coffee pot like that too somewhere. What nostalgia!

Love that! Yes, where is the pattern please? The Chacopaper sounds interesting. I have the Chaco chalk markers, but need to get more blue chalk which is my favorite and empty.

That pattern would look so cute with vintage fabric and/or the 1930's repros. I find myself getting interested in a redwork project. Too bad there are so many other things way ahead of it.

It took me about 2 months to get up the courage to start this thing once I realized how involved it was. I was also stalling because I wanted silver fabric instead of gray.

The Chacopaper I found at Michaels.

Now that I purchased a bit of 30's repros, I will be using them for several of my blocks, like the mixing bowls & teacups. I was trying to use stuff out of my stash that looked sort of old fashioned before I broke down & bought MORE fabric. And will buy some 30's for the border.

I'll probably hang this in my dining room. I don't have room in my kitchen & wouldn't want any kitchen messes to end up on my work of art!

The pattern is by Lori Holt. "Bee in My Bonnet" patterns are available from Lori at 801-446-9117. They aren't widely available & she doesn't have a website that I know of. That's amazing! I can't imagine doing all the embroidery and applique...my head would be spinning...you have done a fantastic job!!! What a great conversation piece that will be, hanging in your dining room! You should be so proud of yourself for sticking with it, cause those block are outstanding!

Thanks for all the nice comments about my blocks. I'm not liking them as much as the sample that I see at the LQS. Maybe cuz that quilt is done & mine is no where near. Or maybe I'm just to critical of my fabric choices.....

I haven't been able to find a picture of the pattern to link to it to show you the finished product. Guess i'll have to complete mine & send up a pix. :)

I've been semi-collecting vintage 1930 fabrics with no pattern in mind. I love yours but know my limitations and would never complete a quilt of such intricacy.

CrafteeDee -- If Karen doesn't have the coper -- I googled art supplies and then at the first store I found I did a search for Copper Sheeting -- seems they're used for embossing and other things. HEre's what I found for just a couple dollars...

I absolutely love that!! Cute as can be. I have 2 mixers just like that one--old Sunbeam Mixmasters--one from my mother and one from my grandmother. My mother's was bought in 1947; my grandmother's a year or two later. They still work great.

Cherry stems were embroidered with brown. And the mixer cord was a piece of thin cording that I had laying around. It's dark navy blue (shhhh!), but it works. I still have yet to cross stitch "EZ-MIX" on the mixer. And I want to embroider BALL on the jar. This quilt is going to be a forever WIP...

It's copper fabric (pref "Fairy Frost") that I'm needing a 5" square of. If anyone has some of this, I would gladly swap something with you. Would like to not have to purchase a 1/4 yd + shipping just for a small square.
