For comparison, this is how my hoses are run ... well, how they were run on the installation at my previous house. I moved the unit along to a new house several years ago, don't have a current pic but it's pretty much the same way. The DD was installed on the left of the sink. The two drain hoses come through an opening at the cabinet base, loop high as possible, tied up with a wire at left rear corner anchor bolt of the sink, then down to the plumbing connection. Backflow through either hose would have to go uphill from the Y-connector, through the high loop, down to the cabinet base, then into the drawers. Highly unlikely that would happen.

I hadn't seen this one before. It seems quite different from the Smeg one, and much more usable. F&P are one of the, if not the, first makers of dishwasher drawers. There are some peculiarities, but most people who have the 24" ones are satisfied. This larger one looks easier to figure out how to load. The blurbs say that it can take a large dinner plate, unlike some. All the tines fold down and the racks are moveable. Your best bet is to take some of your more difficult pieces to a showroom and see how they fit, but it looks good to me.

Sorry to hear this, unfortunate situation for sure. Wiring could be involved but there's no suggestion of that on the list of resolutions for Fault 40. You've already replaced the RPS and controller ... but I'm wondering if somehow it's the wrong RPS ... which could contribute to the spin speed problem being as the RPS is directly responsible for feeding the rotor speed to the controller. Basket RPM during spin can be checked via diagnostics. A tangent thought ... any possibility that fluid has leaked from the integral balance rings at top/bottom of the basket? There will be malfunction if the basket weight is not within spec. I'm not understanding why your servicer wouldn't have info on all the fault codes. The same fault codes apply as for phase 7 agitator machines, plus a few codes specific to AquaSmart, mostly related to the different pump. Ahhh, I also just noted info that there have been changes on the suspension rods, and the latest rods require a specific controller version for proper OOB "bump detect" function. If the controller on an older version machine is replaced to a newer version controller, the suspension rods must also be changed. Supposedly a replacement controller *includes* the correct rods, but that may depend on what part number/kit is used to order the controller. This could possibly affect spin speed and basket sensing. Contact me off-board if you would like copies of the info I have. I may not have the latest docs, which your servicer should be able to obtain.

LOL! Your rant about making one's own laundry soap, etc was toooo funny and ITA :) I'm also not a fan of the low water band wagon. The only FL experience I've had is my mother's machine. She's NOT happy with hers :( I AM VERY happy with my Whirlpool Cabrio TL NON-HE machine (with agitator). It's model number WTW6200. Had the 6400 model, TL HE. You can do a search with my name or Cabrio and read why I didn't like it, but basically it didn't clean. Like you, my top 4 priorities are CLEAN laundry without having to stand on my head and stack greased BBs to get it! 3.8 cubic feet, auto water level (more water than the HE TL) and 4 other water levels for you to manually adjust. Also has a delay wash that I find useful. Don't have the dryer so I can't comment on that. Good luck! Monica
