I still have the recipe book my daughter (37 years old now) and her classmates made in school. Each child was told to write down a recipe (from memory)and then the teacher put them all together into a book for each child to take home. My granddaughter and I made a memory book for her while she was visiting with us after Christmas. Wal-Mart has the little 6 x 8 books. You could get stickers and embellisments and the children could bring their own photos to use. She finished one and wants to start another the next time she is here...

Here'a an idea - String of Stars Make a decorative string of stars to celebrate President's Day, Veteran's Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, or any patriotic US holiday. Make it as long as you want - you can decorate an entire room with this patriotic (and simple) craft. SUPPLIES NEEDED: Construction paper (red, white and blue) (or you could use foam stars) Scissors String or yarn (red, white or blue) A stapler, tape, or glue Cut out red, white and blue stars and decorate them if you like. Fold over one tip of the star. (Or punch holes if using craft foam) Staple, tape, or glue the star to a length of string. Make many stars and attach them to the string. Leave some extra string at the edges for hanging. These could be used to decorate a dining room or other shared area at the nursing home. I think it's great that you are taking the kids to visit - it's good for the kids and the residents!

Lindy, awwww.....you don't hate ladybugs. You just hate that they are getting inside! Finding out how they and the stinkbugs are finding easy access to your home can be a challenge, I know. Our problem stopped when we installed a new storm door, but we were lucky. Have you considered contacting an indoor pest control company? (I'm just thinking outloud.) I would think that the better companies will be well versed in all the sneaky habits of these insects and be helpful in eliminating their access. Of course, other companies will just want to spray a bunch of stuff and that's not helpful at all. I sympathize with you.

Thanks Joann.
