ISO photos - backsplash in white kitchen with black counters
Comments (7)Check out the Finished Backsplash Slideshow - click on the examples you like to link to the full information for each kitchen. Lots of great ideas there. I drove myself crazy trying to decide between colorful and plain and trying to find a balance. I ended up using a dark grey/beige/white mosaic framed in dark grey behind the range with cream subway tiles (I have cream cabs with dark grey granite). I think of it like a blank canvas or a little black dress to accessorize with color to suit the seasons and my mood. I like your ideas of using a couple of glass front cabs with your dishes and colorful pendant lights - they would be easy to change if you wanted to! Comments (9)Thanks so much CKGM for getting back to us with the photos of your beautiful tiles. (I was on vacation recently and am now just getting a chance to check back.)Your granite is even more like mine than I first thought! (Though my rusty streaks are a bit paler). Your tile is gorgeous and so unique that it might not go out of style as quickly as some other type of tile that "everyone" is doing at the moment probably would, IMHO. I went to a local Grazia dealer and they said that they don't have butter blend, or anything from that line,in stock anywhere around here on the mid-atlantic coast! They said, since it has to come from Italy, it could take months just to get a sample in! Where did you get yours from, if I might ask? I wonder if they would ship? Please post pics when you get your new grout stained! I think it looks fine now, but I know that in real life, things can look different....See MoreCan't remove 4" granite backsplash. I give up!!!
Comments (9)Thanks SO much for the suggestions!!! I have options:) If I decide to go with the over the stove option only, I could consider some of those "busy" tiles that I love. Spb59, I have thought about the water problem also. Over the last four years, there have been many times when the stove has over boiled and flooded the backsplash! It has never been a problem with the 4 inch. Do you have paint or tiles above it? This post was edited by annalyn123 on Sun, Jul 21, 13 at 13:38...See MoreHow did you mock-up your backsplash?
Comments (1)I did almost the same thing. I actually put samples of my tile in a flat bed scanner and made images of them. then I drew my cabinets in Autocad and inported the pictures of the tile. I actually built my tile backsplash in autocad with actual photos of the tiles. It worked great!...See Moredcwesley
