This is my dad on the right, emerging from some unidentified place with unidentified people. I posted it on FB today, and Kat pointed out that there's something odd about it. I agree.....anyone else?

Only thing odd I noticed is that the fellow in uniform doesn't have a hat on.

Now that I have looked at FB I see that I was wrong. I agree that is very strange Susan.

Yep.....weird. Your dad is proportionally larger.....like he was photoshopped into the picture. :0)

The face in the rock is carved....I personally think by teenagers....local lore....says Aztecs or aliens....:0)Oh....and it's a BIG secret where they are located....shhhhhhhhhhhhhh....don't tell anyone..

I was thinking maybe it was the tiny head on his right shoulder. LOL

I think the fellow in the uniform is photoshopped in....he looks to be back of your father, but his arm is in front! At least, it looks that way to me.

A chunk is missing from his arm.

The way I see it is that the guy in uniform was photoshopped into the picture. Dad is in porportion with the others in the background. He is just closer to the camera.

The guy in uniform was definitaly added to the photo....the woman in the back who is wearing a fur coat.....part of her coat is overlapping his arm.

No Photoshopping was involved. The photo is about 70 years old, and I scanned the original negative. I thought part of the fur coat overlapped the soldier's arm, too, but when I took a look at the large file I discovered that it's not her coat--it's his stripes on his sleeve.

But the other arms still mystify me. I received a message from someone who does imaging and graphics. He says my dad's arm looks like it's in back of the soldier, but actually it's in front. A theory I like better is that the soldier is a ghost. :-)

And the "tiny head" on my dad's right shoulder? Let's make believe it's President Truman. LOL

Alisande, I blew up the photo and can see that the wrinkles in your dad's sleeve slightly cover the very edge of the soldier's arm, but their arms are lined up so very closely, it's hard to see it.

President Truman on his shoulder is funny. ;)

That does make sense, and I'm sure you're right, but I couldn't see it--even in the larger image. I'm expecting great improvements following my cataract surgeries this month! :-)
