O-KAY! I've got keys for "k" and pencils for "p."

Also saw some dogs, frogs, ghosts (wouldn't suit some people?), footballs, farms......so I know they're out there....these are at Hancock's.

    So, I know I have A, M, K and P.

Does anyone think it would be a very bad idea to have more than one square for some letters? It doesn't have to be just the 26.....for example, I like both skirts and sailboats...just a thought.

ok I found some more but I don't need to cover all these I have myself down for, if someone else would like to do a letter I have my name on just let me know.

I am offering up a special prize for the person that can find a fabric for X. or we can all make our own applique X to finnish our sets.

I will send my address to everyone and you can start sending your squaires as soon as you want, it looks like 10 of each fabric will cover us unless we have some more people sign-up. please don't forget return postage, $2 should cover it, if they go a little over I'll chip in the extra. if you want delivery confirmation please note it in your package and send $ for it, and your address and real name and GW name.

    thanks

Morning.. Joke for the day (ps my mother sent me this) ROSES & HANGING BASKETS A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra. Her grandmother just pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that! The teenager tells her 'Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!' and out she goes. The next day the teenager comes down stairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate.... The grandmother says, 'Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rose buds, then I can display my hanging baskets. Happy Gardening.

I-Spy quilts can be made in a variety of patterns. My own favorites--pretty and also not too hard to make--are the 9-to-4 and the Peek-a-Boo. Try looking up I-Spy in the little search window at the bottom of the first page of this forum, and you will find pictures of I-Spy quilts in some of the threads; or you could google it and click on "Images." In case anyone new doesn't know--The name comes from the little game you can play with a child, in which you name something or a color or the letter the thing in the pictures begins with, and the child has to point out the right picture. That is why it is desirable for an I-Spy quilt to have all different pictures, hence the frequent I-Spy swaps on this forum.

Annabelle, you are welcome to join us and I will work with you to ensure that you can participate. The issue is not that the postage is expensive, as this will be a centralized swap, so each of us will pay our own round-trip postage. If you send a smaller package, the postage will be less on the way in and on the way back. A larger package will cost more both ways. In your case, sending the package is straightforward, but you of course don't have access to our U.S. postage to send back to yourself. I'll connect with you via email to make shipping arrangements. Consider yourself part of the swap, and I'm excited to have you included! Any other international lurkers out there, who are curious or interested to participate? You are welcome to join us too! Contact me directly and we'll work out the details. Thanks - Cathy Palmer (who has set aside 100 "extra" squares for this swap yet still has at least 18 other fabrics to cut into swapping squares)

    hello

grace - that is a great fabric, are you going to get it, or dose someone else want to get it. if you want a set for each letter you fill I think we can all do that, some of the letters I have only a few of, I will list the number of each I can send(figuritivly)
if anyone else wants to get more than 1 set just post it before we start sending, I'm covering 8 or 9 letters and I only want 1 set.

    Dear Michelle and other swappers,
I only hope/expect to receive ONE complete set of 26 6" squares representing the alphabet. I planned to send to Michelle, a total of 78 6" squares that represent three letters: M, A and K. I'm "donating" the extras just to help complete the alphabet. Fabric prices have risen and I figure I have spent about $30 dollars at least.
There are ten swappers involved. It seems "problems" arise when less than the required number of squares are sent. Since there are only ten swappers now I see I don't have to send more than the number of SETS needed. (You can see I am really confused). Some swappers want a number of sets equal to the number of squares they sent. (I think.)
I think I have more than enough fabric, so my question is exactly how many 6" squares of each letter should I send? Sorry for the confusion.

    hello
I'm sorry for all the confusion, I just thought eveyone wanted 1 set but we will work it out.
mollie if you just send M and K that is fine I think we have A covered.
I got some more U fabric so it is covered
Robin and grammy let me know who is going to send for Y, I want to try to keep it to 1 person sending per letter, unless absolutly nessary, but if you both want to send we'll just have our choice.
also those wanting 3 or 4 sets please send extra shipping $.
anyone that wants to send the full 26 squairs can go a head and send them and I'll donate the extras to a local womans/childerens shelter in town. I just don't need 7 sets, and I was trying to save people money on the postage.

I guess I am a bit confused. I thought the original swap was for a full set of alphabets. I am planning to send in two letters ~ G giraffe and N numbers ~ 26 of each and in return I thought I would receive two sets of 26 A thru Z (one for each set I sent in) including one of each block I sent. If this is not accurate, please let me know. Thx!

    hello
ok marty i have you down for 2 sets, I just thought the point of the swap was to get 1 set for each player, and wanted to save people money by not having to buy as much fabric and not having to ship so much. I have never done one of these swaps before and rilly didn't want to see this one just disapier becouse the original host could not do it. please go a head and send all 26 if you want, I wont need 7 sets and will donate my extras to a womans/childerens home

    hello hello!!
well I'm all done the sets matched up, the envies labled and stuffed.
I will get these in the mail tomarrow.
thanks to everyone for such a great swap, and for working so hard to fill the gapes.
please have a great time working with these.
I'm thinking for mine of using recycled jeans and doing 4" strips around each squaire of fabric, making a picknick blanket for my brother in law and his kids.
what are your ideas for your blocks?

Thank you so much for all your work with this swap. I will be making alphabet I-spy rag quilts using up some of my old denim and jeans for the back.

I'm thinking using the swap squares with 30s reproduction fabrics or other bright and happy colors to appeal to a toddler!
    Thanks again, Michelle.
