I looked at those and thought they were very bulky looking?? I was looking for decent priced, real leather (not bonded or otherwise) counter stools for weeks. Found these on overstock.com, I got them in black, tons of good reviews so I went for it. First set came in with a broken leg, but I reordered and the second set was fine. Leather is very nice, legs aren't the best, but for the price you can't beat them. The height is 26", little higher than what i would have liked, but we've eaten at the bar with them and it's fine. the backs come just above the counter, nice look. Read all the reviews and see what you think. I'm giving you a link to the brown, since that's what you have pictured. Oh, and they sell out frequently but seem to get them back quick enough. Or what about this ming green marble? http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Classic.Tile.And.Marble.inc.718-331-2615/picture/view/1383839 I saw something at the tile store that was similar, though I don't think it was marble, and when the salesman who had been helping me saw me looking at it, he laughed and said, "I hope you aren't selling your house any time soon, and if you are, you better hope a leprechaun buys it." Yeah, I know, not the best salesman. We aren't selling our house any time soon, probably in about 2 years, so I do want something that is pretty neutral or universally appealing. This doesn't seem like a crazy color to me (and I am a little color shy)--it seems like a pretty neutral green, no? Anyone have this marble, or an opinion on how it goes with verde butterfly? I hope I'm not being too much of a pain with all these questions. I'm just so anxious to get this decision made, and I really appreciate how helpful everyone on this forum is.

Check the absorption rate...I think you'll find it's too dense to take a sealer (absorption rate From the Stone Advice thread (linked in the "Read Me" thread): BUT: Not all stones need sealer either. Stones like Blue Pearl, Ubatuba, Black Galaxy, Verde Peacock, Verde Butterfly, Platinum Pearl and many others are too dense to absorb any liquids - sealers included. Sealers only protect stone from staining through absorption, so in stones with low absorption coefficients, sealing would be superfluous. Sealing dense stones could lead to nasty results, such as streaking and ghost etching, so DO NOT go by the motto of "seal it anyway, it could not hurt". Rather test your stone for absorption by dripping water on it to see if it darkens any. If the water has no effect on the stone, sealing it is unnecessary. Hi Haileysuper, I agree with Buddyrose, check out many granite yards until you fall in love. I started my granite journey falling in love with Butterfly, Blue Pearl and landing on Jet Mist. Each stone is like a peice of art. Beautiful, unique, elegant, and like each of us. Your DH (husband) sounds like mine, when I was shopping. He got to the point of saying..."I like them all the same, if you don't choose soon, I am going to hate them all the same." I got the last laugh. He loves my choice now, but shopping was driving him batty. Hang in there, he will love what you love soon enough. Peacock is a beautiful stone. The warmth of the green tint against the deep black is really amazing. I can see why you like it. I have seen a few major errors on our GW site. People very sad about their seams, installs and other issues. Do a search of Granite Seams on GW and this will educate you on the process.
