Extra Deep Lowers?

I am having custom cabinets made, and I was wondering if it was possible to have extra deep lower cabinets made. The fridge I will buy (have not bought yet) is 29" deep without the doors - almost 36" deep including doors and handles. If I made the one lower cabinet next to the fridge deeper, perhaps the fridge would look more built in and less like a massive appliance sticking out into the kitchen?

Here's a crummy drawing showing kind of what I'm talking about, I hope.

Would a cabinet this deep be harder to use? Does it make sense to use a deeper cabinet? Is 29" the best depth to use? Or do you think I should just not worry about the extra 4" of sticking out fridge? Its not too much difference, I just thought I should take full advantage of having custom cabs.

Thanks in advance!
