How to hang rod pocket curtains from rings?
Comments (1)The rings should have tiny ring that you'll use curtain hooks to attach them to your curtains. The curtain hook actually goes into the curtain fabric, the other end of the hook goes into the hook ring. I just bought curtain hooks at Lowe's of all places. Here is a link that might be useful: Curtain Hooks...See MoreCurtains with clips
Comments (4)I fold over and clip. Have this on 3 windows so far and it looks great. Also the fabric that is folded over gives a little more stiffness to the top of the curtain so they stack back better and don't sag as much. It used to be 4 windows, but I re-hung the curtain rod higher and needed the extra length so undid the foldover. I miss the extra stiffness of the foldover....See MoreSimple Wraparound Curtain Rods
Comments (16)"Return rods" Aha! That was the trick! Thank you, Camlan.. and thank you all! What you've made me see is the importance of the size of the rod which I wasn't exactly ignoring but hadn't considered seriously enough-- for this installation, I want a rod that is sturdy enough for the 80" reach but that isnt visually imposing (which is also why I've opted to go pewter or nickel rather than black). I think the JCP rods are perfect for my other rooms and I love the price. It's a great compromise from the very inexpensive walmart rods and the very nice but more more expensive WE and PB rods. I am going to stick with the French rods for this room, Something I havent shared is that I screwed up with the hemstitch curtains. Each panel is 40" wide-- which will barely cover the window when closed. I am going to try three panels on each window set but am prepared to go with 4. This "inexpensive and easy" window treatment plan has quadrupled in cost between the cafe panels and the rods but I think it's a look I'll be happy with. I always saw patterned shades on these windows but I quickly recognized that I didnt want to lose the light. Thank you all! Comments (4)It is 8 French Doors that actually one open on each end. I was going to use the drapes on each end and shears all in middle. You can move the drapes very easily and I pull them back from windows every day. No problem. So, I thought that I could do the same where the door we use often (on side of house and have electronic gate. So, only my husband I only one's that use it. I found a picture (wish I knew how to show it) Where it's exactly what I was thinking about. It would be drape on each end where doors open, but we rarely use but one door and I could pull it back each day or even leave it pulled away from door we use.Looks fine that way.. I don't even use it that much since garage connects to back of house off kitchen. I do think they would look much better hanging same length. The one wall we did ended up costing 650, but I told him drapes and rods are "an investment." You plan on using them for long, long time!...See MoreRelated Professionals
