I'm surprised, I didn't expect to get much response. I did look at that link to WindowQuilts, my3dogs, and it is what I remember seeing a long time ago when they were a little more popular. I don't think I want to install tracks. Thanks for the link, though. That helped me make the decision that I want to make something myself. Daisy what you are describing is exactly what I was thinking of doing! I hadn't got to the point of figuring out to use a second tension rod on the bottom yet, and I was still considering whether to roll them up during the day and tie with ribbon, or use cords in the back, etc. I think the idea of using two tension rods and just raising the bottom during the day to fold it over is a perfect one! I think I am following your directions ok, all except the idea of cutting the fabric 2 inches larger all the way around. I assume you have to add more than 2 inches to the inside measurement of your window in order to make rod pockets and is the 2 inches on top of that addition? And what about the two inches on the sides? Is that seam allowance or is the finished panel, larger than the window opening? ghostlyvision, I will certainly post photos if I can manage to make these. 5 years and my chicken wire looks the same as it did when I posted the photos on the linked thread - above. I'm the one that went over it with stain. Hard to see in photos (linked below) but it's on both doors (pine hutch) and the two lift up doors (black hutch). Those are shown upclose on linked thread - above - and new pictures are on the post linked below. fwiw, I bought a pre-made (but put together yourself) computer cart (on wheels) years ago. I had DH make a flip down door (for keyboard) and doors. Painted it all black. Put in gathered fabric behind chicken wire on the doors. Geez, it's 8-10 years old. Used to sit at it on computer (for at least 6 years) and the wire is still okay - not warped or bent. Here is a link that might be useful: my kitchen

HI I had Prime Waterproof Dark Roast installed in my kitchen and back of the house, I hate it, I cannot get this floor looking clean. It smudges and never look clean. Has anyone else had problems with this floor. I have tried Bono and Rejuvinate cleaner for LVP floors, but left them looking hazy. My floor is Matt finish. Which seems to show every foot print and sock print. Im going crazy trying to find the best cleaning for this floor. Could it be my mop? I use a microfiber mop. Does anyone else use something else? Suggestions are appriciated.
