Ok, I just found out today that the 12 year old Esther Williams pool I have been given by some nice folks (still digging out for it, parts are all sitting in the driveway) is not the typical 21 foot diameter pool but 20 feet across. The fellow at the pool place where I was trying to order new bottom tracks for the pool told me a replacement liner is $700.00 for this pool. (*sigh*) This "free" pool has already started costing me many hundreds of dollars before I even found out about this. He said I could put in a 21 foot liner but of course I would have a big wrinkle in it. I would prefer not to have a huge flap in the pool to collect algae and dirt and to trip over.

Do I have any alternatives to spending big bucks for a liner or having to live with a sloppy liner install?
