Now a days with energy prices the way they are, I was woundering if there would be a problem adding a cholrine tablet floater to the pool. I do not want to have to run the pump for 11-12 hours a day. It currently runs for about 6 hours a day, and I am starting to have algae problems. Water temp is about 85.

If I was to start using chlorine tabs, would there be any problems that you would know of. Just trying to save a few dollars if possible.
