all white granite countertops ... show me your backsplash!

I'm still here and will be here until I find the perfect match to my Bianco Romano countertop. I know there are people out there... designers with an eye to help me find that match. I never thought it would be this difficult to find a backsplash to compliment my counter.

Thanks Geekette! that was a picture I was looking for! Just wanted to get the idea. We have a very traditional house (1920's farmhouse, with wainscotting in the bathroom) and I didn't want a look that would be too contemporary. I think the cove would be okay, right? Thanks Tom999 and flyleft--its good to hear something positive about the Corian. Makes me feel more confident in our decision. Now I just have to price it!!

Dap Tub and Tile or Kitchen and Bath caulk. I believe it's silicone because it stays/dries soft and flexible. Dh says Dap is the brand he used but other brands are fine. It was simple to buy white to go with our white backsplash. It also comes in clear. The guy who installed the granite and the ss undermount sink used a similar type caulk (maybe what padola07 referenced above) that matched the stainless steel. So, the seam where the sink and the granite meet is sealed well and blends in.

Thanks mindimoo! I've always loved alkuo5's granite and splash combo (ok, the entire kitchen actually!) and your thassos marble bricks are really nice! Our border tile listello for our downstairs bath will have random strips of thassos marble. I'm thinking about incorporating more of it in our upstairs baths when we reno those next year because it's just so darned pretty! Isn't it neat how many different ways there are to do a white backsplash? :-)

Hakatai monet grey. Subtle dark grey accents in this tile would function to tie in the charcoal floor color.

Here are some pics I took of the Bianco Romano when I was thinking of doing that for the counter...I decided to go a bit more white, but here are some of the pics that I took with other tiles.

Looks like Veil to me.

I would also look at Oceanside's Frontier blend. It has the white of the counters as well as the dark brown of your cabs.

Personally I like the general idea of the first photo of "firsthouse - mp". However, I think the backsplash is too large. I also think the tile in the second photo is too small. Maybe something inbetween?
