Hi! I read your post and it sounds somewhat like our situation (though no accusations about affairs or anything--just unsupervised children!) Anyway, since we moved to our home with a 2 year old, and another on the way, I insisted that if we did nothing else to our landscaping, we needed to install a fence! Since our neighborhood was somewhat established, and none of our bordering neighbors had fences, we opted for a split rail fence with a green mesh exterior--which is nearly invisible against the grass and landscaping. This design allowed us to "pen" our child(ren) in, keep the neighbors kids and dogs out, and it was subtle enough so as not to look like a "spite" fence. Once the fence was up, we then planted a mixed row of Rose of Sharon, smallish arborvitaes, along with roses, and barberries (the thorns are also helpful in the fight against would-be entruders!!! LOL!) The other nice thing about this kind of fence is that is CAN be temporary and removed after other plantings fill in, and it is one of the least expensive fencing designs, and both the mesh and individual timbers can easily be replaced if needed. We were able to fence in a relatively large 1/2 acre back yard for about $4000--it may sound a bit expensive, but it was WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Just something to consider! Good luck!

First, measure your clothes to determine how much short. medium and long hanging space you need. Rather than one set of drawers under the hanging rods, have a stack of drawers. Instead of bifold doors, have double doors. You can mirror the inside and use both doors to get a good look at your front and back. Here's an example of a closet with double doors. These doors are very wide. I have 18" wide doors, for a 36" wide opening, which is plenty. Inexpensive door mirrors are around 14-16" wide and 60" long, so they can fit easily on the inside of the closet door.

Beautiful gardens, fmroberts and joann. I'm still working on ours (I need color!) but would also suggest something tall to the left of the door doesn't even have to be that close, you could pull out low plant(s) there and put the tree closer to the corner where you would see it more from the drive. Then low plants, sun or shade depending on what you have there (though there will eventually be shade from the tree). Deer-resistant plants include holly, juniper, Siberian cypress (loves sun, looks like juniper but not prickly, though it does turn bronze in winter). I haven't had problems with them eating my boxwood. I just planted wintercreeper (though that can really spread) so I don't know if they will eat it in winter. Roses would do well there if sunny. Montauk daisies might do well, the deer didn't bother them last year, they get bushy quickly and bloom in Oct. Cypress, boxwood, and newly-planted Montauk daisy to right (sorry no good pix of it in bloom but it grew a lot just in 8 months or so since I took this pic in Sept 09) The cypress and boxwoods have really grown too - this was 4/08

Build a low, square, cedar box that you can set over that drain. You can use if for a seat, and/or put plotted plants on it. And you can simply lift it and move it if you need access. As for the "toilet plumbing thing," you're going to have to provide more detail or a picture.
