Cedar siding stain choice for new cedar home

I am posting this same question in the paint forum, but thought it might make sense to place it here as well. I am trying to find a top end cedar siding stain that will keep a one year old cedar sided home looking as it presently does. Is there such a product? Everything labeled natural that I've seen seems to give the house a darker look similar to what cedar looks like when it is wet. Is there anything out there that will offer the needed protection but wont alter the existing color at all? I've been told that Sikkens makes a superior product but have no idea which one of their many choices would work best. Any advice would be appreciated as we would hate to make the wrong sealer choice and be stuck living with it. Thanks in advance.
