Off white or white subway tiles with Dove White Cabinets?
Comments (1)Since our kitchen is black & white, we went with white. Our cabinets are BM Gardenia, a warmer white than yours. Here's a shot or two. You need to figure out how much white you want in your new kitchen. Dove White is pretty bright, as is white subway tile. While I'd be good with that, some may find it too bright. You may be best served by picking up a dozen of each color tile and making a mock-up....See MoreWhite subway tile with slightly off-white cabinets?
Comments (3)Whites are hard. All whites have undertones, so one white can bring out the undertones in another white or off-white, making it look dingy, yellow, or - heaven forbid - pink. Light is another factor - light bouncing off trees outside can make white cabinetry take on a green tone, and the color on the paint on the walls will reflects as well. Additionally, some lightbulbs cast a blue light, some cast yellow. It's enough to make you crazy :) So, this is something you need to mock up to see if the two whites look good together. Make a sample board with the tile and grout, of a size that will fit under your cabinets, so you can place it and observe it throughout the day. Then, move it to a different spot and observe another day. I'd make your sample board at least 18" wide. If you're happy, then move forward with the project. I'd wait until your counters are in, if they aren't already - and if possible, paint too. If the whites aren't playing nicely, you can post a picture here for suggestions on how to make it work - new lightbulbs, repaint walls a certain color, etc. According to oldbat2be, you can make a sample board by using double sided tape to stick tile to board, then grout. You can also chip out the tiles and reuse them when you're done....See Moreoff white blinds Off white Blinds with White trim and sand windows
Comments (2)I wouldn't worry about it. I would have chosen blinds to match the trim but it is what it is; it's just a blended color scheme off-whites. NBD. Once you get everything in place, it will look fine....See MoreNeed an off white BM paint with white cabinets and appliances?
Comments (2)I bought a ton of white samples and did sample boards. That's really the best way to evaluate them. Do you have a sample cabinet door? If so, sure, take it to be matched, but still get a sample and test it. Or do you want to do a different white on your walls? That's trickier, and the answer is still samples....See Moreflseadog
