Hardware Choice - Natural Cherry Shaker Style Cabinets

Can anyone provide some advice on hardware choices for natural cherry shaker style cabinets. I am likely going to do satin nickle...not sure on what style to do. I like clean, simple lines...looking at Amerock Galleria. Anyone know of anything similar?

The cabinets are natural cherry. The entertainment center, desk and window seat are cherry with an espresso stain.

This is my first time trying to post photos...so not sure if it will work.

I have natural cherry shaker cabinets with satin nickel hardware and it looks great.
I used Amerock Anniversary knobs on all the doors, and Restoration Hardware Ephram pulls on all the drawers.

Anthomeinva- Will look at the Dakota knobs. I see you have beautiful soapstone, too. Badgergal-We hadn't heard of Hickory Hardware and will investigate; beautiful cabinets. Prospect-Looks like you have soapstone countertops, too. We love your floor. Enduring-Love your backsplash; what material did you use? Sloane-We think your photos convinced us to select satin/brushed nickel. Lovely view! Labbie-We will look at Top Knobs web site - beautiful kitchen Mayflowers-the ORB does not look dated and is a nice choice for you kitchen-especially with the lighter floor and counters. Thank you all again for taking the time to post photos of your beautiful kitchens and share information. As you may have noted I wanted soapstone (not so much DH). Lol - I just finished looking through the FKB, wondered where all the color was, went to the categories page. Out of all of the kitchens posted there: 3 have red counters 2.06% 7 gray 4.82% 14 gold 9.65% 15 brown 10.34% 16 green 11.03% 16 white/cream 11.03% 36 mixed 24.82% 38 black 26.20% page error for blue counters, but I know I saw some. Hmm, and I forgot to include wood counters, of which there are 17. Sorry to hijack a bit, Astrid. I'm trying to match counter colors with light maple cabs, too, and am watching your thread. I'd love to end up with a cherry or walnut over one of the cabinet runs. I didn't see anything but didn't look through the "mixed countertops" category. Total = 145 (not including blue or non-categorized)

Natural cherry shaker cabinets with natural maple floor. These cabinets are 6 years old so they have fully darkened - it happens pretty quickly: For comparison regarding darkening, here is natural cherry in our family room cabinets which were brand new in this picture; the same natural maple floor:

I think it'll be fine, especially if you're careful about the finish. Your house is pretty much now, and so is the style kitchen you've pictured, and the wide arch. The word "transitional" is overworked, but generally fits anything that has past elements in today's design framework, and that's really what you have pictured. The word "Shaker" applies to the simple recessed panel, not the minimalist design philosophy here. The woods in your picture of the stairs are honey colored (medium golden brown) and in your kitchen drawing they're more spice (medium-dark orange brown). Since you're opening up your house rather than separating off the kitchen, I'd be more concerned with making the woods work together than the cabinet style (which by being so simple should go with anything). Just make sure you're happy with the choice you make! There's no point starting otherwise.

We have cherry Shaker cabinets. Our style is neither traditional nor contemporary, but in-between. We have Top Knobs Princetonian pulls in their Brushed Satin Nickel finish, which has a pretty gleam, but doesn't show fingerprints. Also, my pet peeve is drawer pulls that have ends on them that catch on clothes, so I made sure to pick pulls that won't do that. DH's pet peeve is handles that aren't deep enough to get his fingers around - I was surprised when we went looked at hardware displays how many pulls are so close to the cabinet front that you can't get your fingers inside them (you may not have that pet peeve though, so your choices will be greater).

Another thing we liked about the Princetonian pulls is that they come in a big selection of sizes from 3" up to 18-9/16" and everything in between. We ended up needing three different sizes in our kitchen for the different sized cabinets and drawers. I was also able to find a good number of websites that sold them at competitive prices (some of the other hardware I looked at was not sold as widely, and therefore was more expensive). We ended up buying them at qualitybath which I will link.
