Sheer Descents

I know many here have sheer descents and wondered if you have a dedicated suction line connected to them? My pool build will have have two 3Â curved descents on a raised beam wall. (My only water feature other than a lonesome bubbler.)

Some of the install data indicates a suction line is needed for more than one decent. I know there is not a dedicated line other than the skimmers, polaris and drains? Am I up a creek without a paddle or is this common?

Also, I know these are not going to give me the dramatic visual and sound effect that I was looking for. So......I was wondering if we can tap into these lines later and switch them onto more of a stepped rock waterfall? They are connected to a separate 1hp Jandy Stealth pump. The brass bubbler looks like it will run from the 3/4hp polaris pump and the pool pump is two-speed 2hp.

Does this sound like a strange setup?

Thanks in advance
