A tip for Kate on hand applique

I've gotten hooked on needle-turn over the past year. I love it. Can't stop. It's yet another sewing related addiction!

The best tool I have found...made my life so much easier...is a toothpick I got from Wal Mart. They are white plastic and come in a clear plastic box/container. One end is curved and the other straight. Use the straight end to turn your fabric. It's faster, smoother, and much easier to control than your needle.

You'll find them in the tooth cleaning section of the store. I know it seems a hassle to keep switching between the pick and needle but it's well worth it. It turns the fabric with one move so there's no fraying. It smooths out pleats. It tucks evenly for curves and points.

Try it!!! It's a miracle!!!!!! LOL!!
