it also depends on your faucet finish. If you want chrome, you can get one like muscat said for $150. I wanted ORB and we were looking at $200-$300 just for the little faucet, not including the tank. We passed for now but I hope to get one eventually. I'll just put it in my soap dispenser spot.

I cannot tell you how much I love this thing, and I use it everyday. We even use it to get water boiling faster for pasta. Yes, sometimes dinner does have to be THAT fast!

Thank you so much! We just bought ours over the weekend along with our Blanco sink and Elkay faucet. The bill was a little scary. My InstaHot will go back, and I'll be visiting Costco instead.

Does the Costco one come with a water filter, or does that have to be done separately? I really want to have that hot water filtered.

I always buy whatever I can from Costco, but for this I think I have to get the Insinkerator, which comes with a filter as part of the system.

muscat, is that a Blanco sink? I am curious as to what cabinet width is required for that & if you have model number?

We have a KA, 6 years old now, boils over often & you can hear it. Thank goodness dogs are used to it now.

The sink is one of the famous (thanks to this site) Ticor models, specifically s1058. Ticor says that a 36" wide cabinet is needed, and my cabinet has an *interior* width of 36". There was plenty of room, so depending on how you mount a sink (with clips, vs with struts, vs placed between plywood and the granite or other solid surface) 36" *total* width would probably be ok, too.

The faucet is a Hansgrohe Allegro Gourmet. The instahot has a little detailing and ribbing that is more traditional than the faucet, but they are both neutral enough and shaped similarly enough that they work together. The finishes look very similar in person, too, so I'm happy.

I think I'll go make some instant-hot tea! :) I love that thing!!!!
