Trex vs Azek vs porcelain tile for deck
Comments (2)sunnyca, There are only two homes in the condo association, and I have exclusive rights to this area. Only impact to the other town home will be noise and dust during the installation. My neighbors in the back house recently strung a cable above the space to hook up TV or internet service or something, without asking permission. I will be applying for a permit from the city. The area is partially covered - the 2nd floor of the house extends out a few feet beyond the 1st floor....See MoreTrex Select
Comments (2)I've had trex, the old stuff, for 5 years and love it. A lot if the complaints I read on this site while researching were over the top. It IS expensive and if I was to do it all again would only reconsider trex due to price....See MoreVeranda as opposed to Trex decking?
Comments (9)My composite deck had small spots of mold the first few years but it was due to the constant overspray of the sprinkler system and was in an area where no direct sunlight hit it. I treated it a couple of time with bleach and I haven't noticed it lately. Maybe time and deck use took care of it? Treating a little mold every now and then is much easier than resealing/staining wood ever 1-2 years. I've owned a wood deck in the past and would never go back. There are many good composites available......just have to do your research and look at decking companies, not the big box stores....See Morerecent opinions on newer Trex
Comments (0)We are reviewing options to replace our wood deck with Trex. I know the company had a lot of issues in previous years but would like to hear from people who have recently installed Trex as to how the newer made boards hold up. Are they really mold free? We are looking at lighter floor with aluminum railings. Don’t want to make a pricy mistake! Thanks!...See More2golftoday
