Should we paint beadboard white or same color as wall?

We are in the planning stages of constructing a 4 season room off of our kitchen. The room will be 16 feet long and 12 feet wide with windows and french doors. The floor will be a light colored stained wood floor. Baseboards and trim around the windows will be white. The ceiling will be cathedral with 9'at the peak down to 7'4" at the walls. We want to give some interest to the ceiling, so we are planning on having a tounge and groove or wood ceiling and painting it white. We live in New England, and although we are not directly on the ocean/Bay, we live in a coastal/beach town, so we want to reflect a New England coastal decor. We thought we would add beadboard to the walls (36") but are wondering if it would compete with the wood ceiling. We have thought about painting the beadboard the same color as the walls (a faint blue/green) instead of white so they will keep a textured look but not stand out and compete with the ceiling. I'd love some thoughts and advice on this!

Thanks,

Connie
