I'd almost bet it's Custom Building Products' Delorean Gray. As for which tile, either would look good with the grey grout. That's actually a little darker than I recommend, but if it's what you like, who am I to argue! :-)

Sorry-- I forgot to post this in the other thread-- I'd use it with machine made tile. Handmade tile is way too rustic, and it'll show up all the flaws (warpage, sizing, etc.), more than anything else.

Bill, someone was mentioning machine made that looks handmade, Emser cape cod, I think, with irregular corners. I shouldn't use that one then, right?

It depends on what you mean by irregular corners. The problem with handmade tiles is the sizing is usually horrendous, the tiles are usually warped, and there's usually thickness variations in each piece reminiscent of slate. As a result, contrasting grout usually looks terrible with those kinds of tiles, because it shows up every single flaw. If what you're talking about is a tile with rounded corners and scalloped edges, that's fine with a contrasting grout. But if it's anything like what I described, I wouldn't. But that's also personal opinion. If it's something you might like, don't let me talk you out of it.

Bill, what grout do you recommend for white subway that is gray but LIGHTER than pictured. I want a gray that looks like not-brite white grout looks when it is WET.

Daltile Rittenhouse Square. I forget the name of the series, but as you can see from Circuspeanut's pic, American Olean also has a high gloss tile that's comparable, both in price and finish.

Sabjimata-- I'll give you three, one from each of three manufacturers, being I don't know whose product you're going to use:

From Laticrete, look into Sliver Shadow.

From Custom Building Products, Platinum.

From Mapei, Warm Gray.

Honeysuckle, what kind of gloss are you looking for? the American Olean/Daltiles are already high gloss, I can't imagine any glossier than the mirror finish they already have:

I agree. About the only thing you could do is cut up pieces of mirror. :-)

I guess they are too perfectly flat for me and the shine doesn't reflect off of waviness and flash.

That looks like it could be one of the three I recommended above.

The person who posted this carrera marble thinks the grout is delorean gray, so the one above is probably darker than delorean gray, but what color?
