San Diego Buff & Sandstone Davis color

Hi,

I am about to choose a deck color. does anyone have photos of a san diego buff colored deck and or a sandstone color?

anyone have any experience with either color?

Hi we just had our deck poured went with Omaha Tan, after the Acid Wash it is quite a bit lighter but still looks pretty good....our last pool we had San Diego Buff it looked pretty good we had the salt finish, both colors are nice....I think the Sandstone looks a little to gray-just my opinion...if you are Acid Washing keep in mind the Davis color will get lighter....if I had it to do again I think I would go with the Omaha or Sequoia Sand...good luck I think whatever you decide (It took me a long time) that it will look fine...

We just had "cocoa" colored concrete poured--- a dark brown color---after acid washing, looks a lttle pink. Contractor mentioned that would have to seal to get dark color back.

What did you end up going with? Any pics? We are choosing our pavers now and are also looking at tan. Coping goes on Friday which is brown (Techo Bloc portofino). We're going with the Techo Bloc Blu paver and are deciding between chestnut brown and mojave beige.

I also have sandiego buff concrete that is about 18 months old. It also has a white haze that started in small areas and gradually got bigger. I have tried diluted muratic acid and I even tried efflorescence remover and nothing has worked. It just seems to get worse. When it is wet it looks great, so I was thinking about putting a sealer on it. I'm not sure if that would make it worse or not. It probably should of been sealed from the start. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I hope others may have an answer. Lisa

jvmagic - Someone may come in and correct me, but I think that the "release agent" that you are speaking of is a step in the color/stamp process, not with a sealer. Given you are in California, your options for using a high solids sealer which will give you the wet glossy look are a little more limited. What about Mesa Buff? I don't want anything that looks pink, don't want anything too dark (hot to walk on), but not so light that you can't tell it's even colored.

Just had San diego buff color concrete installed. After two weeks it looks pink not tan ! Can it be fixed?

get concrete stain and roll it on to cover up San Diego Buff or let it fade over a few years
