My Trash to Treasures Project

A co-worker found this chair on the side of the road waiting for the garbage truck and brought it to me. It was never a nice chair - upholstered in vinyl, but I needed an accent chair for my foyer. I put a white crackle finish on it and new pad and cover - didn't mess with the springs, they were in OK condition. I made some mistakes - this was my first upholstery project but it won't get close inspection. I plan to put a table next to it and make a cute little vignette for this corner in my foyer.

I love it!!! I love the lines of the legs - it was screaming for some white paint and new upholstery. Great job!!

Love all of it. I remember all of my aunts on mom's side had pumps in their kitchens & then heated big pots of water to wash dishes after the huge meals. 1 aunt lived to 109 yrs old & sliced off salami every day for lunch on her homemade bread & a little side of watermelon pickles & homemade raspberry jam. I used to go out & pick berries for her. Your door with garden message looks so good & inviting. You should repost these pics on Garden Junk forum. "Too bad you can't share the amazing transformation with the original owner." It came from a fancy smancy subdivision and I'm sure it was no big deal for the owners to run out and buy new chairs. You know that old saying, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Necessity sure has helped me learn to do a whole lot of things.
