Do I need to strip my 12 year old deck to restain it

I have a pressure treated pine deck that is about 12 years old. It was first covered with cwf when the deck was built and it had another coat of cwf about 4 years later. So the deck has not had any treatment for about 8 years. Most of the cwf is gone on the flat parts , other then the corners and the vertical posts. Can I just pressure spray this old stuff off? I do not know how to strip and prep the deck , but its expensive to get someone to do it so I will try myself.

Do I need a stripper and a brightner to prep it for the new stain? I was planning to use Cabot Clear Solutions Pacific redwood to refinish the deck.

Do I need to cover the vinyl siding of the house if I have to use a stripper and or brightner? Or will the old stain coming off not effect the siding if it gets on it? Also what about grass and shrubs?

Thanks for the help
