I buy the house brand at Costco, two large bottles per package. I don't use canola oil for anything except rarely frying or baking. I use the EVOO for everything else. Be sure to get Extra virgin, milder flavor.

I like Bertolli (I think that's how you spell it) but the last time I got Publix brand EVOO and it's darned good.

Bertolli olive oil...moderately priced, very good quality for price. Use Virgin for cooking, Extra Virgin for salads, dipping.

But I do use EVOO for sautes. I keep the EVOO in an old wine bottle by the stove (dark glass) with a bar pourer on it, and I use that for my everyday cooking. I just refill it from the jug when needed.

I use the least expensive olive oil for frying foods.

I don't "fry" per say, but I do use some oil in the pan at times. Mostly I use grape seed oil. Like the flavor, and it doesn't smoke as fast as most olive oils.

oklamoni....yep ! This is a quote I pulled off the net. "Research has shown that most pure olive oils have "smoking points" (at that point the chemical structure of fats and oils is changed when heated beyond the smoking point) ranging from 250 to 468 degrees Fahrenheit. Basically, the oil can burn and ruin what you are cooking. As for Searing, Sautéing and Sweating, olive oils are perfect for these types of cooking "

Bertoli or Sagra evoo. I use it on everything, but I don't fry at all. Also grapeseed oil sometimes. And DH was looking through a cooking catalog a few weeks ago and ordered Delavignes Valencia Orange Grapeseed Oil as a splurge. It's delicious, tastes wonderful on salads, has a delicate, tasty orange flavor.

Bertolli has a mild fruity flavour which I love. It's affordable.
I find the price of Bertolli is the same whether it's extra-virgin or virgin. I use extra-virgin Bertolli for everything.

I've read that Canola is very healthy and my store had it on sale this week. Also Sunflower oil for the same price which I understand is very healthy is well. (But I don't know for sure)

I do not like olive oil at all, I just personally do not like the flavor. I use Canola oil.

When I deep fry, I use canola oil. When I fry in a frying pan, I use equal parts olive oil (not EVOO) and butter.I use Greek-produced olive oil. Right now I have a can of Capatriti in my kitchen. I save my EVOO for salad dressings.

On the stove for cooking what ever is on sale is fine with me. For anything else, the best that I can afford. Bertolli is a good all purpose oil.
