Need (desperately) opinions on granite

Hi everyone. I just found this site and I really wish I'd found you all sooner. DH and I are smack dab in the middle of our remodel and I'm at the point where I've gotten so overwhelmed that I'm second guessing everything.

The cabinets have been installed and they are yellow (KraftMaid Biscotti/Irish Cream) with a cocoa glaze. DH wants a granite with movement but not too many crystals. All blacks and pretty much any solid colored granites are out as far as he's concerned. I'm trying to come up with something that bridges contemporary (him) with traditional (me) and that somehow minimizes my first big oops with the flooring color (too white).

I think this granite would work but I need more eyes looking at it.

It called Blue Persa. Would the overall effect be too light or too crazy?

I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions you all have. Also, if it helps, all the appliances are stainless as will be the sink and we are planning to have a 62 inch round granite top on the pennisula.
