A frend of mine who is just starting a kitchen remodel is very interested in the Blanco Super Single sink with drain board. (#513 692) I have a Ticor in my new kitchen which i learned about on this board. I love it and have recommended it to her. However she loves the drain board option. Does anyone have this Blanco sink and if so, how do you like it? I will pass along any opinions to her.

I ordered the Blanco baskets (two sinks in Anthracite similar to yours) in stainless from Homeperfect. They feel much more well-made than the ones I had in my previous sink. It was confusing on the Blanco site to figure out which ones to order, so I contacted CS. It was very difficult to get a straight answer about which ones to order, but I finally got an answer: Blanco 441093 Decorative Basket Waste Strainer, which is the one you want if you do NOT have a disposal. If you do, you'll do best to ask first if you want Blanco. I really like the stainless in the black sink. The only problem I have with it is that occasionally something in the sink will push the basket down and close the seal when I don't want to fill the sink, but that may be a problem with any basket. I don't think there's anything else you need to get, just optional stuff like the grid. I don't have one yet and I don't think I miss it, but many who have it love it.

My daughter has that type of sink. It’s a Kraus sink, I use it a few days a week when I do nanny/granny duties at her house. Her sink drains just fine- no dirty water or garbage on the left side. Perhaps your sink was not installed correctly or has a defect in the bottom of it which caused the water to flow the wrong way.

@Lauren Fazio we ended up with the Elkay Bellucci, which was a tad of a surpise when it arrived as we had ordered site unseen. Given that it's a granite composite there are some darker flecks and although white, it's not a bright white. The manufacture ended up replacing the first one due to the number of dark spots. Elkay was very helpful and responsive. The positive reveal with the ledge is more of catch all than we antiicapted in this house of 2. When reading the reviews about coffee, tomatoes, etc. we figured that wouldn't necessary apply to us- we don't keep things in the sink and rinse it down imemediately. Not the case. It does come clean with a magic eraser sponge and some elbow grease. We have the bottom rack and remove it a few times a week for good scrub. 5 months in we've had no issues with scratches or other surface damages. Initially we did use the drying rack and cutting board features. We've reduced using them, but can envision them being used when counter space is needed in the future.
