I like both. Both look lovely, but I lean towards #1.... I think. :) At least you can't go wrong with either!

This is hard. Love the texture in #1, but the subtle colors in #2. You can't go wrong with either. Lovely, restful room!

I love them both, like LoLoren says, you really can't go wrong with either, but #1 is more commonly seen and #2 IMO gives the room some of it's own personality and makes the room more unique. Love how the colors in the bedding match the wall color. I agree something with a similar color would add additional interest, the lamp or lamp shade maybe.

I love #1. I love the simple color and would be fun to add during winter months a coordinating comforter folded down that the bottom of the bed. Or vary your bed skirt. Beautiful room.

What a lovely room! Both quilts are beautiful, but I think #2 has a richer, more interesting feel about it.

I like #2 the best as shown. #1 would be best choice if you like to change out "pops of color" or accessories.

I do love #1.... Saw it in the Pottery Barn store, but I think it looked a little nicer on their display... Quilt & shams over $380.00. #2.. Quality not as nice.... But quilt & shames $100.00. I'm thinking since both are nice, # 1 should go back and I can buy other things!

Took me a moment but I realized what it is about the 2nd one that throws me off:

The room is sooooo peaceful, serene and soft on the eye (and beautiful to boot) that the reverse stripe showing is a bit too jarring for me. I held up a piece of paper to the computer screen to cover the striped portion and I immediately felt an 'Aaaahhh' kind of relaxed feeling again. The stripe is just a little too harsh to my eye for this room. The Floral/ Jacobean side is just as refreshing to me as #1 is but in a different way.

So if it were down to #1 & #2 minus the striped reverse, then I would have a hard time choosing one.

Gosh, I almost hate to say this, but I would vote to take them both back and keep looking. I don't think either one adds anything special to your room.

Fun2BHere.. more info, what do you see looking better in this room (which is not near completion yet!) I'm open to suggestions and thoughts that will fit this vintage waterfront home!

I love white bedding but #2 is so pretty in your room. Love the soft colors and it works very well with the walls - North Shore, right? :-)

So, my vote is for #2, unless you layer in some soft blue/green bedding with the white quilt.

Both are really pretty, and if you can keep both, you should! I think my favorite is #1. I just love the texture/pattern and the shape. I think it looks gorgeous and soothing in your room.

You could not fold down #2 if you don't care for the stripes! Looks like #1 isn't folded either.

I like #1 because to me it looks like a monochromatic look but with several interesting textures. Looks great with the lamp, too. Compared to that, #2 seems too busy, especially with the print(s) of the quilt and the lacy (looks like it's lace?) bedskirt.

Tinker_2006, I think the dissonance I'm experiencing is because of the highly patterned bedskirt. I think it's beautiful, but it seems like it calls out for an unpatterned comforter or duvet so that you get that soft, smooth lofted look contrasting with the busily patterned bedskirt. You could repeat the eyelet with trim on pillow shams. Also, I like a more decadent look that includes Euro pillows, but that's just personal preference. If I can, later I will try to find some pictures showing what I mean.

They are both lovely, but I adore #1. I like contrast, in color and texture, and #1 gives you major texture to play off against with smoother fabrics. #2 is very pretty, and would certainly work, but you are limited by the palette.

Absolutely #2. I don't see #1 working with the bedskirt at all.

I think the stripes are fine, and would consider that an alternative choice with solid blue or green euroshams behind your existing off-white shams.

However, I would not turn down the quilt that far, or at all for that matter. I think the Jacobean print is lovely, and gives a finished look and a richness to the bed.

I love #1. However, I should admit that I have all white bedding in my room, so I am a bit prejudiced. Just love white bedding and love that quilt you have. The bedskirt with it doesn't bother me a bit (looks pretty, I think), but with that beautiful bed, you could always go without a skirt.

you all have such good eyes! I didn't even really think of the bed ruffle (it's beautiful) not working, but now staring at it.. I do think it's not the one.. for either quilt! I really do like both - so I just may keep both of them!

#2...love the soft color and pattern.

2 adds more pattern which the room can use and I think it's fitting. Room and wall color are lovely...very relaxing and inviting

#1 because it strikes me as classic, versatile and reminds me of some of a classy hotel or a beloved aunt's guest room (weird double association, I know!).

#1 with a tailored bed skirt, and because I see something like this as the finished room
