Several years ago I had a similar problem with severe static on a shortwave radio that was there all the time. I took an AM transistor radio, tuned to a spot on the dial where there wasn't any station, and went around the house with the radio and tried to find out what was causing the interference. Nothing seemed to be causing it. I finally went out to the power pole and could still hear the static. I walked down the power line and after passing two houses down, the static disappeared. I went back and stood under the transformer serving that house and could hear the static again. I went up to the electric meter for that house and could hear the static. I talked to the neighbor and he let me come in to try and track it down. I was able to trace it to a defective door bell transformer in his basement. He had the transformer replaced and that fixed the problem. Even though there was a transformer on the pole in our back It turned out both of our houses were fed from the transformer in his back yard. If you have a small radio, you could try the same thing. Moving around the house with it, the static should become real loud when you get near what ever is causing the interference. If you don't have a battery operated radio, you could use a long extension cord to help you move around the house. Although the problem seems to be heat and time related, there's always a possibility the circuit beaker itself could be arcing.

I believe the denim cycle doesnÂt spin so much to reduce wrinkling in the denim material. However, most of the custom programs that reduce interim spin speeds or eliminate them all together will increase rinse water levels slightly to compensate for the lack of wash water removal. So donÂt worry, it rinses well all of the time. I find that a lot of thought went into these mastercare programs and I think they work very well. All of the programs work great but I will say I avoid the "Normal" wash selection. Instead I use "custom". When using normal the internal heater is inop, it will fill with the temp selected but thatÂs it, temps are even limited in this program, this being a basic wash program that helps It achieve its energy star rating. So use "custom", pick your temp, spin speed, options, then start. ItÂs the best way to do a basic wash I find.

I really appreciate everyone's input. I wish I knew more, in order to question the things he says. He's pretty good at talking. About the ground for the antenna......where would I find that? We have an old rusty rotor on the antenna that doesn't work. The control box isn't plugged in. The coax comes from the antenna and goes into the attic from there. What should I ask him about that ground? I've heard that you can get these problems if someone has wired one of the outlets backwards. We added on to our house about 13 years ago and this started up around 8 years ago. I'll check all the outlets in the new addition with a tester. Also....he said that there's no way anything anywhere is causing a short. Is this true? I just don't know enough about electricity to even talk about it intelligently. Okay......I went out with my binoculars and took a good look at the setup. There's a wire from the dead rotor taped to the coax from the antenna and they go to a connector, which takes them into the attic. At that connector, there is a wire that comes down the house and into the ground. Does any of that sound weird? I have no idea if the ground wire is connected to anything, but it does go into the ground where our septic line exits the house. Can you extrude any relevant info from that? At least it might help me tell the TV guy what to look at. And I have the feeling that in the attic, the coax/rotor wire doesn't cross any other wires until it gets to the splitter and then the amplifier. The splitter and amplifier are about 10' apart, I think from what he said. Thanks for your help! Oh....about the VHS tape......it was a perfectly fine, clear video before I re-watched it yesterday, during the time when there was interference, and it had exactly the same interference on it as the TV had. I told the TV guy about this and he said we probably need better fittings on the cables in the back of the TV. My head is spinning. Reality is getting a little weird. I don't know much about alot of things, but I do seem to have the ability to know when someone is on the wrong track.

Liri, it's very comforting to know that you think the space configuration between the 2 stoves will work well. I love it when someone has had 1st hand experience with what I'm trying to only imagine. Wow, I never would have guessed that a wood cookstove could be so hard to use. We have friends that have a newer Pioneer Maid, and know some Amish that have a nice Amish-made wood stove, and both folks love them. I'm sorry to hear you have to wait a while longer for your new kitchen! It's hard to wait! I guess that will make it that much sweeter when it is done, right. DH and I stayed at a cabin for our anniversary that had a layout something like that, and I LOVED it. Here it is: : OK, it was dark as night in there (so glad there was a skylight over the island), and it wasn't GW standard, but it still worked incredibly well. The island was 8' x 24" (What? Doesn't everyone bring a tape measure with them on vacation?)and had open storage to the kitchen side. It was sooo efficient to cook in. Of course, I was only cooking for two, so I didn't get to give it a true test run. I loved having the table off to the side of the kichen, too. Nice! Anyone else want to chime in on which plan would be better? Things I like about the peninsula plan: 1.The cooks face windows when working at the peninsula. 2. Folks sitting at the bar face the back window (pretty view) and their stools are out. of. the. way. 2. There are 3 distinct countertop areas to work at: peninsula, island, and counter under window. 3. People can get in fridges w/out interrupting workers in the working zones. 4. Seats 4 at the peninsula. 5. Set space between stoves. Things I might not like in the peninsula plan: 1. Are the counters too small and chopped up? 2. Crossing a walkway to the fridges. 3. Will I get stuck behind the island? I don't like to be stuck! 4. No closet/pantry. Things I like about the island plan: 1. Mega island with lots of room to spread out. 2. Prep sink is nice and close to stoves 3. Fridges are mighty close to stoves, I am at the fridge a lot to get a little of this or that. 4. A CLOSET (or pantry, the way Lav. drew it.) Good heavens, we could use some closet space in this house. I don't even have a broom closet at this point! Things I might not like about the island plan: 1. The area between the island and fridge stove area is going to be narrow. Will it feel constrictive? 2. Working at the island faces toward the closet--boring. 3. Stools are in a major walkway. 4. Stoves are stuck together. 5. Can't do a susan or even drawer king in the corner. 6. Are there enough areas for multiple workers? Anyone else want to chime in on which plan would be better?
