Thank you EVERYONE! I had a great birthday. Lots of fun with the colored hair at work. Yes, gazania Moni, yes, love the purple hair...but is that in reference to the book "When I am Old, I Shall Wear Purple"? C'mon now, you will never convince anyone that you are "old". Hope your birthday was top notch! It sort of was. I was looking for something purple to wear at my party on Saturday, when I ran across the lady with the purple hair. I just thought it would be a HOOT, and it was so far. Lori and Doug and the kids won't be here now till tomorrow, and I can't wait to see their reaction. LOL My other daughter, Ulrike came yesterday to pick me up for Supper out. She said, nice wig mom... LOL, and I replied, are you sure it is a wig... Later on the way home from Supper, while at a stop sign, she looked right.... and there I was.... LOL, she said, oh, it's still purple. Moni

Thank you everyone. My day was very special. Started out with my grand kids singing Happy Birthday over the phone, and ending with a nice helping of ice cream with Baileys on it. :) I did get a short ride in, after I got home. My phone needed charging, so many calls. The most distant call was from my sis that now lives in Australia. Got a HUGE pile of cards too. Thank you all again. Moni

Thank you EVERYONE, and Happy Birthday Sadie! Yes, ice cream was involved. After getting off, Esther met me, and we headed back for a BIG container of Chocolate Almond, "our flavor". :) We had our own nice spoons, and didn't quit till it was all gone. Esther has a picture on her phone, that I hope she will mail later. All in all, I have never been there that long on my birthday before. LOL Moni

WOW, what a surprise! Thanks EVERYONE! I'm gone to get that daughter of mine.. LOL patti43 that was such a great line, all in German. You're cool. I spent the morning with my "practice grand daughter" and the afternoon with Master Gardener friends, and the evening with cycling friends. Twas to cold for a ride, as far as I was concerned, and to windy. After all, I am old enough to know, what I don't want to do. ;) This has got to be my BEST year yet. I had a terrific day. Skyped with grand kids, daughter and son in law, calls from friends from WAY back when, nice visiting time with sis on the way to Tulsa, lunch with my Tulsa birthday club friends, lots of talk on the way home, where we took a side trip to my daughters house... and finally back home and kind of collapsed. LOL

We sat around and rested, then my sis packed, and in an hour I have to drive her to the airport.

All in all, a very successful day.
