Easy way to transfer videos and photos to DVD...

DH couldn't sleep a few one night last week and did a little TV shopping! He bought me this DVD recorder and it's awesome! It transfers picutres for a memory card onto DVD and creates a slideshow set to any song you put on you card or a preset one that comes with it. It is so easy to hook up the camcorder to transfer home movies to DVD! It was delivered yesterday and I can't believe how easy it was to use right out of the box. I am in the process of making cd's of all the kids for Mother's day with printed labels. Now I can make them on a DVD with background music! Really nice! He knows I an forever copying videos and pictures, this really makes it so easy!

Thanks Connie....he is feeling better but is still in some pain. The implant works great on the spots it's programmed to target. He is having hip pain now. I tell you he's falling apart! I can't convince him to discuss it with the doctor, he will when it gets bad enough. He's afraid he'll go under the knife again. But for the most part his pain device is working great, now if they can run some leads to his hip area he'd be in heaven. HE needs to ask his doctor and he says it's not bad enough yet.....he's a man what can I say?

Don't have an Iphone but can't you put them in the cloud then access it that way from the computer? I transfer everything via Bluetooth from my android phone to my computer. Bought a nice little USB Bluetooth adapter for $20 and love it. I can also access Verizon cloud from the computer to get at my files. Mary

Converting videos from computer to DVD

Andy, I did a major photo project last fall putting photos onto DVD. Haven't yet worked with video but opened up my Roxio last night and gave it a shot. Please ignore anything that is not applicable to your situation. First thing I learned is to change my screen size to 1024 by 768 before loading Roxio. After loading you'll see a series of dropdown menus on the left side. Select Vido. Then on the center section of the screen select QUICK VIDEO WITH MYDVD EXPRESS. It'll take a minute or so for the components to load. Then you'll have a page come up showing a MENU for your video. You can use that one or select another by clicking on the options on the left side of the page. The video menu permits you to enter your choice of words. Then down at the bottom of the page click NEXT. You'll need to Browse to find the video you want to transfer. Don't know if you can get it from another source and if that is a problem, I'd load the video to my computer to make the transfer simplier. Anyway, click on the video and then click on the button ADD. If you want more than one video, hold down the control key and select the multiples you want. Finishing that, you'll get a page asking what you want to do. At the top is BURN TO DISK (or something like that - I'm working from memory) Got your DVD burner all set up, then go to it. Yep, why are men like that? I see NO need to ever be in pain! LOL
They wait too long to be seen IMO. But you know you should tell him he could be doing more damage by waiting and it might make things worse..I hope he can get something figured out so he doesn't have so much hurting. I know it sucks. :(

Is adding music easy or is it something you have to do in a software before?

Thanks for the review! I've been looking for something that will put old vhs tapes on dvd. It looks like this might do it.

The music is easy...you add one song to your memory card and it will play it all through your slideshow. No software at all...plug and play, no computer needed either! I just love this thing! Yes you can record old VHS on this providing you can hook it up to your VCR with RCA cables, etc. Very easy to do! I can't say enough about it! DH bought it when it was 30.00 less and on a payment plan of 5 payments. I wish it still was I would order them for my son's and DILs for Christmas. I'll have to keep watching this site.
