The second bed would be difficult to sweep under. Also, those feet flaring outward might be a tripping hazard.

Beds 1 & 2 look like they will need to be pulled away from the wall quite a bit to accommodate the arching headboard. Not that it is necessarily bad, just an observation. Would the gap bother you?

What look are you trying to create? The leather is very masculine, very Ralph Lauren feeling. The other two are more traditional, but perhaps not so heavy in the space.

I think the leather bed is distinctive, but limiting as to what you could do with it if you tire of the look down the line. At least with the other beds, you could paint or change the stain, etc.

As paint chips mentioned, the first two will have quite a gap behind the headboard to allow for the curve. I think that would bother me, but perhaps not you? Personally, I would look for a panel bed without the curved top.

I like the clean lines of the first one. it's nice looking, but I do agree with the others that it might be weird having it arch away from the wall. The leather one looks soft, but it comes on very strong. If you don't love it, you might tire of it. For softness, you can buy an upholstered headboard. The advantage there is you can change the fabric when you feel like changing the style. I've seen them in the Pottery Barn catalog, but I'm sure a lot of places have them.

Paint chips and Les, the gap wouldn't bother me much because my room could accommodate it since there is not a tall footboard. The second bed is my favorite but it is more than double in price than the first bed (can you tell that big of difference?). The leather bed is just nice but like Les, I wonder if I would tire of it down the road (I don't know that I would but I tend to not trust myself).

How would a floral comforter look on the leather bed?

I see the leather along the sides getting all kicked up or too susceptible to damage or wear. The last two also have issues with cleaning under the bed. Carpet would be impossible with them. Maybe the mattress sits on a solid base? where dust and lint wouldn't fall through to the floor, just mostly gather around the edges (where bed could be slid a bit)?

Personally, I don't think the curve looks so pronounced that it would bother me against the wall. I do like the atypical height and details of the second pic, also.

I think it would depend on the type of floral going on #3.

Oh I love #2, it made my heart skip a beat! Who needs to clean under the bed anyways:) I like #1 as well but love the lower profile of #2. Not crazy about #3, it appears to heavy a look and a bit too high maintenance for my lifestyle maybe not for yours.

If there is that much difference between the cost of 1 and 2 I would probably go for 1.

All three of the beds are pretty and the leather one is too masculine for me. It depends on the size of your room, too. My furniture looked great in my last house, but it's too big for my bedroom here. I'm now wishing I had something more diminutive and airy.

no2 hand down. May I ask who makes it. The only problem is the high headboard (looks high but maybe not since I don't know dimension). If the headboard is high you will need high ceiling to pull it off otherwise it would make the ceiling looks lower.

don't like the leather bed. SIL bought a similar one for her teenager son and it looks huge and bulky IRL w/ all the padding. We all call it 'the space ship' or santa's sleigh.

Not really like'in the leather, I think it's to much, to Heavy looking. You would have to have big heavy furniture to go with it in the room, do you have a huge room to accommodate it all.

Love, LOVE #2 - but then again, it look VERY similar to mine!(which I love) No problem dusting under it (I have hardwood) the flat duster goes right under.

I like #1, just more traditional for me, I would stub my toe on #2 and I dont like how high the headboard is...too high. I am not worried about cleaning as much as free storage:) With a bedskirt you can hide things under #1.

I do not see florals on the bed with the leather headboard. I'm not crazy about any of them for the same reasons mentioned by others. Sorry

I like number 2 as well. I love the style! Is it Thomasville? I think I actually looked at it when we were looking a couple of years agao but went with something similar from Harden.

No. 2 gets my vote also. A variation of a sleigh bed. Most of those do need to be pulled away from the wall a bit, but most that I've seen IRL do not have to be that far away from the wall. I personally don't like a headboard right up flush with the wall anyway.

I agree with tinker, if you have hardwood or something other than carpet, no problem with getting a duster under there. Vacuuming carpet wouldn't be so easy.

I think they are all lovely but in terms of liveability in my eyes, I would go with #1 absolutely.

Bed #2 is Thomasville. Headboard height is 63", floor space 67"x97"

Bed #1's measurements are 66W, 91D, 54H. It is alittle smaller.

My bedroom is 13feet by 14feet with a tray ceiling.

Would either of the beds fit better in the room? #3 has been eliminated. Thanks!

It's going to get dusty under there. All the fabrics and moving around, it all drops down. Those allergy control box spring covers might help though. Could get cobwebs too, hm. Maybe one of those fluffy pole things would get those though. Looks very heavy to move!!

Take some tape measures and mark out the imprint on the bedroom floor, that will give you an idea of how large the footprint is. What other furniture do you have to go with the bed? Are you going to add to the collection?

DH and I are discussing this same question, and decided against the padded leather headboard. Comfy, but prob. won't wear well, will need to be reupholstered or just replaced down the line. Also pretty trendy, as opposed to the more classic beds you're looking at in #s 1 and 2.

I prefer #1. I do like #2 also, but to me it looks like it needs a footboard, considering the size of the headboard.

Pondering how to clean under those things with carpet! You could move the mattress and boxspring off to get to it from above. My new ones weight a ton though. Maybe if you turn your mattress regularly, and additionally have the boxspring covered in an allergy cover you could keep things clean under there.
