Glossy White cabinet..what counter did you pick

About a month or two ago, someone posted about what countetops go with glossy white cabinets. I would love to know what the choice was. I am doing glossy white cabinets with no uppers. I am mixing elements to get a vintage industrial vibe. White bronze pulls, reclaimed wood table, bronze hood and marble backsplash. Still debating the countertop...maybe a quartz?

I have white, although not very glossy cabinets, went with Caesarstone Pebble.

I can't wait to see your kitchen! Do you have any inspiration photos or photos of your cabs, pulls etc? I would love to see which pulls you are choosing, I almost went with Schaubs white bronze, but they were a bit slim for my drawers.
Do you already have your table? I'm attempting something similar but with modern, french country and glam thrown in. It's difficult to balance it all without going too far in one direction and having one element look out of place.

I had the same question - we have glossy granite and I decided to go with matte tiles, and people said it gives a good contrast similar to matte soapstone with glossy tile. It's really a matter of preference I think. Matte has a much more "quiet" look so if you like that, go for it. I think if you're doing a herringbone design it may look better with glossy tile. I can't remember who did it...I believe Mamadadapaige has a herringbone design with really nice glossy tile. I THINK she has matte soapstone.

There are lots of us with dark soapstone and white cabinets, that still love the combination. Great hint I got from this form was to buy plastic tablecloths from the dollar store in black and white, drape them over my cabinets to mimic white cabinets with a black countertop. When I did that, I could see that the color combination works really well with my dark wood floors. That might help you to decide , and only costs a few dollars.

Here are some pics with the ungrouted backsplash. We ended up going with different pendant lights than what are shown here. We also did Frost grout which matches the tile. We love the counters. They fabricator used an excellent sealer, and we have had no issues with staining. Very happy with our decision.

Still obsessively think about some. depends on a house of course..I'm lucky to have a house that beg for tiles. And I myself am a tile person. And a pattern person. So we met each other.
