Best place to buy pull out pantry shelving system?

We ordered our kitchen cabinets, but unfortunatly the company doesn't offer the pull out pantry system. I am looking to purchase the required system and add them to our cabinets when they arrive. Does anyone know of an affordable, but reliable system out there?

I ask- trying to be helpful- cuz I have both- a pullout system and pullout shelves. I much prefer the shelves for accessibility and practicality. I have the system in one pantry as it is side mount and that left me room on one side for brooms/etc. So for that instance, it was the best solution. but when you pull them all out at once, you lose the ability to reach in from the top, so you either can't stack things to maximize space or you can only reach in from the sides.

I also really liked the look/idea of the pullout shelves while shopping (Of course there wasn't anything in them at the time), but am really glad that now I didn't buy one for the main pantry.

Having said that- Lee Valley is a good source, and they have incomparable customer service- and will stand behind their products. They are very well-priced too!

I can't vouch for any of these yet. I will be ordering pull out shelving for some of my cabinets, the Rev-A-Shelf trash system and the appliance lift. Some of these sites are more hardware oriented and others have the whole systems.

I had a huge wide open space and opted for one 15" tall pullout. I keep bulk baking items under the baking area in a 36" deep drawer, and a spice drawer. Cereal is above the frige. This maximized countertop for me - what I wanted. I do not do bulk warehouse shopping so this works well. I also have about 15 cu ft storage in mudroom for bulk when our favorite cereal or coffee goes on sale because those are the most expensive items we buy - otherwise we use little to no prepared items. If you want all these items in you pantry, I estimate you will need at least two 15" wide units. If you buy lots of prepared items, or do warehouse shopping this may not be enough food storage - think about the way your family lives. I had 24" wide pullouts two houses ago and things were hard to find in the huge drawer - this may not be an issue for someone who is more organized than me.

I'm trying to picture how pull out shelves will be usable in upper cabinets. The pull outs are like shallow drawers but inside the cabinets, right? If it is above eye level, you still can't see all contents. I'm more a visual person... if I don't see it, I'll forget about it. I will have 24" and 27" deep pantry in my new kitchen. I've seen pantries that are 12 in or less wide that when you pull out the door, all shelves are revealed and you have to look at it from the side to get to the contents (picture filler spice cabinets that go next to your cooktop, except from floor to ceiling and wider). That's what I thought I wanted. However, my cabinet maker has a pretty good solution (I think). He will put 12" deep shelves in the pantry that will be movable and movable shelves (wire baskets?) on the doors. The shelves below eye level (or waist level) will be pullouts and the upper ones will be shelves. I like it because everything is adjustable. I think the hardware that he showed me is the one like the link that Talley_sue provided. Although I heard the supplier Rockler tends to run more expensive. Our cabinets are being made right now and won't be in our kitchen until May (fingers crossed) or else I would post a picture. Anyway, this is a long winded way of saying maybe you might want to consider doing half shelves and movable shelves on the door. And if it is "cavernous", maybe you can put in a small light inside the cabinet. HTH

I have Elfa ventilated shelves (and some drawers) in my pantry and laundry room both. I love them BUT I use liners so I don't have the wobbly issue going on. That would drive me crazy. Elfa's ventilated shelves, unlike what you can find at Lowe's, HD or Ikea, have the wires a lot closer together. They also "lock" into place so the wire part is sitting really firmly in the bracket - not just a piece of wood sitting on top of the shelf bracket. As far as organizing little things, Elfa has "shelf baskets" that you can put dividers in and stack stuff in if need be. In the pic below, I have one of those on the immediate left (3 shelves up) and above the counter top oven in the back. I use it for bags of baking stuff like chocolate chips, coconut, etc on the left and treats in the back. And I absolutely love their big drawers. Container Store's return policy is great too - anytime with a receipt and the best Elfa sales is 30% off all Elfa products. It starts Dec. 24th and goes through the end of January typically. There is one in the fall that isn't as good - 25% of Elfa Shelving. (No, I don't work for Container Store, I am just a big fan and will be buying some more Elfa stuff during their Dec. sale.) It really depends on how you work and whether you have room in the main working part of the kitchen for some of your food items. I had a kitchen with a pantry across a wide aisle from the kitchen itself. There was little cabinetry in the kitchen itself -- more dish storage and such across from the breakfast nook so everything, including a little of this spice or that had to come from the pantry. And it was about 7 or 8 feet deep with narrow shelves on one side. I loved the kitchen when we bought the house and couldn't stand to work in it by the time we left. My corner pantry in this house was an improvement in location, but not organization. I changed it to pantry cabinets with rollouts and a pullout that are actually a bit further form my main work areas (a few steps), but I also use some of the space in my main work area for flour, sugar and other baking supplies in deep drawers, my spices in a top shallow drawer and oils, vinegars and such right at hand above. I don't have to make as many trips to the pantry as I did before and it's not as far. For me, this is working out best of all. I can see either of your design choices working out well, but you need to thing about the type of cooking you do, how you work and how you would use the space -- what you would store in each cabinet and drawer. It's a pain to break everything down that much, but it's necessary to see how it all works for you.

I really don't like the pull out shelves, as most I have seen have damaged the inside of the cabinet door by rubbing on it when the door wasn't fully open, made long scratches/gouges. I do however like the full length pull-out pantry that you can access from the sides. I have also seen pictures of the full length pull-out pantrys that when pulled fully out, allow you to swivle them either way for easier access, but havn't found anywhere to purchase them.
