feeding homemade food w/ bag food?

Hi, we were trying to change our two pembroke corgi's to a different bagged food. We currently use candidae but they have changed their formula and we have read that many dogs do not like it. So we decided to switch them to another food after we could not get the original candidae food. We started to change their food to another brand by mixing it with our old food slowly however our one dog started vomiting. He tends to have a sensitive stomach. He also did not want to eat the food when we put it down the other day.

We threw away the new food but now we are out of old food. We are feeding them some chicken/carrots to make their stomachs feel better and have purchased some innova evo to try. Can we slowly mix in some innova with the chicken meals to let them adjust to the new feed?

I did read somewhere that you shouldn't do this if you feed a raw diet but our chicken is cooked.

We are hoping to feed mostly homemade foods from now on but we also want them to have a bagged food in case we have to travel. I think we are hoping to feed some homemade food with some bagged food everyday. Or maybe we can do one meal of bagged or one homemade meal a day? We need to get them adjusted to the new food first though.

Thanks for your help!
