Mother hummingbird on nest in the butterfly and hummingbird enclosed habitat at The Living Desert, Palm Desert, CA. She made this nest low in a plant right next to the exit door. Docents there tried and tried to discourage her from making the nest but she persisted. I was less than a foot from her to take this photo and she showed no concern whatsoever. Jodi-
