I find that morning glories aren't affected much by pests or disease. Are yours in full sun or is it fairly damp in that spot? You say you "don't use sprays there". Do you use pesticides a lot in other areas? You could be knocking out your natural predators, leaving the pests (who always seem more numerous and hardier) to overpopulate. The trouble with morning glories is that growing them along a fence or trellis means dealing with a lot of tough dead vines at the end of the season (more easily removed in the spring when they are brittle). That can be picky work, which is why I thought it'd be clever to grow them up one pole, rather than a fence or other structure. I also find them invasive and avoid planting them near flower beds. Again, a pole in the lawn somewhere is easier to manage since you can just mow or weed-wack the runaways.

I've got a more-than-a-coincidence story about cats! This happened four years ago. I had a pair of elderly cats which I had had since they were kittens. An out of town friend came to visit and brought me, as a house gift, a beautiful stained glass museum-art quality placque of two cats, a standing black cat and an orange tabby squatting at its side. (It is a famous painting; I just can't remember right now who did it). I hung it in the window and it catches light beautifully. Four months later, quite unexpectedly, one of my elderly cats died. I grieved for awhile, but then started looking for two new young kittens/cats (I always like to have at least two). I started searching the websites of several no-kill groups in my area and I found a pair, posted that very day, of orphans who matched the pictures exactly--a lanky black male and his much more roundish orange tabby sister. Needless to say they are the loves of my life. I adore it when they pose under the picture exactly like the "famous" cats!

I wonder if you will see this 5 years later. My cat who is 3yrs old has been doing the same exact thing as you mentioned. I googled it and found your post. Ironically it is also with Fancy Feast. Salmon and Shrimp... Her and her sister eat dry food maining but I give them FFeast here and there. She usually devours it but the last few times she meows for it, dives in to the plate, eats a little then darts away from the plate like something scared her. Then she runs around the house like she just ate a bag of cat nip dives into a box and starts to claw it to shreds. When I call to her and say it's ok, whats wrong she starts to lick herself and clams down. A few minutes later she will go back and finish it... She eats dry food with no issues so I dont think it's her teeth.. They are both indoor cats. It is almost like she gets wild because it's fish? Like a hunt feeling.. I read all of these comments and I will have her teeth checked. But wanting to ask if you ever determined the issue? Did it stop? Was it her teeth? I am going to try a different can of wet food, see if she does it with that as well. It was just very interesting that your story is so similar even down to the type and flavor of cat food...
