Btw, the link to the chandelier in your original post does work. If you want to add photos to your comment, follow these steps : -copy the link -start a new comment (or edit an old one) -choose Houzz Photo -choose Houzz url. Paste the link in. You want to be sure you have the complete link; if you do the picture will show in the bottom box. Or if you've saved the picture to an Ideabook you can skip the copy and paste and choose the photo from Ideabooks -click Insert I don't know if it's a Houzz glitch or slight user error but I'm seeing a lot of boxes with links in comments lately. 1. I probably would not mix the finishes of the light fixtures. IMO (not a pro), but the lights should probably be in brass as well. Brass finishes these days are not really the 80s shiny brass we've all grown to loathe, so I'm sure your husband would grow to appreciate it. 2. Not sure I like those two light fixtures together, regardless of finish. To be honest, if you are doing pendant lighting over the island, then no pendant light over the sink and vice versa. Installing extra recessed lights and using 3000k LED light bulbs should help with increased lights.

No. You do not have to do brass everywhere. It is not necessary. The kitchen is the kitchen. The bathroom is the bathroom. Two separate rooms. The hardware in the LR does not have to match the kitchen. Black in LR is fine. The faucet in kitchen does not have to be brass, you can use a chrome faucet. And if you have stainless appliances, those finishes are already mixed in the kitchen, anyway.

I think that to make the door handles look purposeful, I would do a matching faucet and pot filler. The stainless is (to me) backround and really a neutral. Congrats on getting your appliances, they tell me my thermador freezer, DW, and built in coffee maker will come this month. 13 months after they were ordered.
