orbit valves not working!

My orbit valves either don't turn on or don't turn off. It seems like the manual on/off bypass lever on the solenoids are the problem. Solenoids work but I constantly have to adjust - loosen or tighten - the solenoids relative to the bypass lever in order to get it to work. It will work for a while - and then it won't. Then another valve will not go on or not shut off. I'm ready to replace every valve at this point. Does anybody else have this problem? It's driving me crazy. Anybody have any solutions short of replacing every valve? I had my plumbing updated some years ago and it supplied too much pressure so I needed to install a pressure reducer. I wonder if I reduced pressure too much?
